New blending technique...need input
I found a tutorial on a new render blending technique. It's kind of a pain in the arse but I need some input on it. The left render has been color blended, the right render has not been blended or feathered at all. I left out fill lines and the such to get input on this. Does it actually look good or not?

the render looks better but not blended.... i suggest just roughly outlining the render with the lasso tool and the feather on like 4 - 5 blends pretty well

Yes, I usually do feather out my renders. Just wondering about the actual color blending. I've stared at it for about a half an hour to make sure that the render actually matches the background better since the balance. I think I'm going color blind since I've been staring at my comp for 10 days now practicing techniques to produce top notch sigs.

Take out your eraser tool and put the opacity down to about 30% and take a brush and go around your render in black. Blends it in perfectly if you have the right brush.
