HK5 vs M60
What do u thinks better. The m60e3 or Hk5, i prefer the m60 due to its superior power and clip size. it is also not too inaccuarate. the m60 fire rate is also very good. i know the hk5 is faster but its bullets are quite weak. Im not sure about the range of either guns. basically this question is asking: machine gun or submachine gun
SITUATIONS: INDOORS AND OPEN AREAS. ALSO DISCUSS THE STATS OF EACH GUNS.

I am getting sick and tired of all these gun comparison threads...they are getting dumber and dumber. "M82 or 12 gauge pump?!" ... "M4 or mark23?!"...and this too. One is a machine gun with slow fire, large range, variable accuracy, and huge clip and power. The other is a submachinegun with a small clip, high fire rate, small range, small clip and little power. HOW THE HELL DO YOU COMPARE THE TWO!.

I agree with you Why does everybody compare to totally different things...Its like which ones stronger an elephant or a cricket? It depends on the situation your in...if theres alot of guys in the widespread area I would want the M-60 not a submachinegun but if you were in a cramped hallway I would want an HK5

You must be very good...
To choose one weapon over another regardless of circumstance.
And to be precise; M60 does not have a "clip". It is a belt fed weapon. It is -mainly-used for fire support & suppression. An MP5 is -mainly- used for CQB. Using a MP5 on a 200 mtr range is rubbish, as is using a M60 to clear out close quarters. I would use a MP5SD in CQB since it reveals you less causing confusiuon in where you are firing from. It might give you an edge. I would use a GMPG (like the M60) in open ground to support other maneuvers by our own team.
When making a(nother) thread about weapons, at least specify in which situation you would choose them.
Vilkas.

Well, im just saying, if you get in a gunfight with someone in socom you most likely are only going to be about 100-150 feet away from eachother or closer. And any HK shoots very fast and you have wasted and entire click by the time the guy with the M60 is only down to 80/100 bullets, and by that time you have gotten closer to the person. And correct me if im wrong but, your *** would be grass if you got caught reloading while your enemy was blazing an M60 in your face. And not only that, but i aslo like the m60 better for camping or stealth kills. When your in prone with the m60 it is accually a very accurate gun, so all you really need to do is get the ghilli suit and a m60 and prone on the ground and when somebody runs by, it all over.

id so much rather go to war with an m60e3, come on subs are bullshiet in real life war, better for police and SWAT. same sort of thing with socom, also i think machine guns are much better in real life because if u pin someone down, they wont move but in socom people would charge out of wherever they are hiding. trust me there could be nothign worse than a machine gunner pinning u down.. he practically doesnt reload

The very reason people develop different types of guns is because people will get themselves into different situations.
