I know what you are talking about; my friend will miss a snipe from across the map and then run to that location and hunt the opponent for like a minute never calling him out because he wants the kill....

What are you talking about man. This topic has nothing to do with rank, its about the lack of team work. Back to the topic, as for me i always play as a team if im with my clan. If not it will never work, alot of people here says they do team work but when it comes to a normal room its every man for themself. Before i used to look for some type of team work but its hard to do that with people outside your clan. Since they are trying to get MVP. Since like people now all they care of is seeing there name in the top of the list.

I believe in teamwork but to a certain extent. If tactics are sitting in a hiding spot and waiting for someone to walk by, then I don't agree. I don't think that all players have to be run and gun but camping is just bull$hit. If you have been playing the game long enough then you know where to go. You reall don't need to much help. If you don't understand the game by now then you need to find a new game. If I am playing in a room with others I will do my own thing until I see that it is not working. I will sometimes stick with 1 other player and try to get the job done. I don't think that you have to do what everyone else does to be good....but that is just my thoughts

That's exactly what I mean when I say "Tactics". A team of 8 people should divide into 4 seperate groups. For instance if you are sniping you should have somebody with you that isn't sniping for they can watch your back so you can devote your full attention to sniping. If we go in groups then guys who run and gun by themselves will always be out numbered. He will be getting shot in the back while he is trying to kill the guy in front of him.

What i ment in that was if the people arnt good and they want to look good they have to rank ^ and all the rank up are a bunch of noobs that cant even aim the damn gun.

I couldn't agree more. My clan usually blazes right through a map. We have some snipers who will stay back and watch for who will make it through. I think that, that tactic works pretty good. I don't have the patience's to snipe. My tactic is to kill what ever I can and have those who are left clean up the rest.

It has always been a pain for me to work with other players due to there lack of knowledge of the game. If you are in a clan that plays regularly you pretty much know what is going to happen. Like I said before, when I am in a random room I have a better chance of getting it done myself rather than getting all the other guys to follow.

i don't like it. its like the only time i like playing socom is when my clan is online.

i do feel your pain. i rarely like to play when my clan members aren't online because of what some people have turned socom into. for example: tonight i decided to play a little after work just for fun and the very first room i hop in a guy starts talking s*** because i was in the armory and he wanted me to go to the terrorists side but the countdown had already started. then the game starts and i go about my business, start rushing the canal in vigilance and about ten seconds in i get teamkilled from behind! what the hell has socom turned into? it pisses me off when i just wanna have a little fun and this happens. meanwhile my teammates slowly die and begin voting me off?!? i said nothing, i did nothing, it sickens me. not to go off topic either, but as they're dying each one is complaining that so and so used an m3-12gauge or an m60 and "he thinks he's good" cause he got a couple kills. jesus christ...it's a game, it's meant for everybody to have fun, use whatever gun they want, etc...so finally i speak up and say "what's up with the teamkilling?" and then tswg10 or however you spell it asks the other guys in the room (not even clan members together) "why the hell is this *** still in here?" i can't help but go on in a rant after this because i've been playing this game since it came out and pride myself on being a damn good player as well as a good teammate, clan war or otherwise. stuff like this makes me want to punt my ps2 with socom inside out the friggin window if you know what i mean. let me know if anyone else feels the same cause after tonight i've decided i'm only playing when the rest of my clan are on.
