I don't know of any way that you can do it directly from you PS2. There is some speculation about the opitcal port on the back of it, but I still think you would have to have it hooked up to your computer some how. The best thing for you to do is get a capture device.

well i messed around with it last night and on my computer i have a place to put those three colored plugs (i took a pic so you know what im talking about)...

so then i plugged it in and opened windows movie maker and it let me record with great quality, so i guess now all i need is a splitter for that cable but i couldnt find one, so do any of you guys know where to find one? or do any of you guys know how to do it a differnt way?

You lucky SOB! You're probably going to save lots of money by not having to go buy a capture card and all that ****. I think they sell splitter things at RadioShack.

No, that wont work i dont think. I have the Dazzle 9 Capture Card. This device plugs into the USB port on your computer, and has a cylinder shaped object at the other end. At the object, there are those 4 plugs, Red, yellow, white, and the S-Video. In order to play socom on the tv, and record onto the computer, you need to buy the Pelican Systems PS2 S-video wire with has the four wires on it to plug into the outlets. Form there, You would just plug the s video cable into the object that goes to the computer, and put the other 3 red, white, and yellow into the tv.

With this game recording device, Pinnacle Studios, a program for video recording and editing comes to edit and create custom movies. All together, the Dazzle 9 and the cord will come to around $90. This is what I have.

The Dazzle 9 is $80 and the cord is $10.

I got my cord at Gamestop in my mall and the Dazzle 9 at BestBuy. If you would like to see the Dazzle 9 here:

Pelican Systems Cord:

I hope this helped.

thanks that acually helped a lot i think my computer just has the dazzle thing already built into it so i dont think there is a need to buy one of those so in theory all i need to do is buy one of those S video cables and just plug it in as if i had a "Dazzle."

The only way though that you can record is if you have a program to record to. If you use Windows XP you most likely have Windows Movie Maker. Use that when you want to record.
