If you are a truely talented player you can counter any weapon in the game with any other weapon. The only true reason to ban it in a game is due to the lag it causes. When it is there every terrorist uses it and after a few losses for the seals they all take it out also. 16 or so M14s equals major lag. I wouldn't ban it because it was too good. That is plain ignorance lashing out.
I think you should just go play and have fun. I hear people complain all the time about particular weapons. It's been going on since the original Socom. The guns are in the game and I see no reason why people shouldn't be allowed to use them. In UT it's a bit unfair for the poor shmuck who has a handgun pitted against someone with a rocket launcher but you have the opportunity to use those weapons as well if you want. If you think the M14 is so superior, use it yourself. If you just want to play the game and have fun (like me) don't sweat the small stuff and just go enjoy yourself.
I don't think the M14 is too good, or cheap in any real way, I mean, even though it has a 2 shot kill and super fire rate, it has crap kickback and only 20 round clip, not to mention crappy overall accuracy, but again, I don't think the gun is cheap or nooby, I just think it is overused. Like, I wish terrorists of today would try something else, ya know?
If you get owned. Thats your own problem. First you fa ggots cried about the m203, then the iw, then m14, sometimes m3, and m4a1. For real... If you get owned, Thats YOUR OWN FAULT. When i first started playing socom2, i started off with the m14. And i did notice that i did get killed by the IW a lot. Time went by and i got better. A lot better. Now ill kill whoever is using whatever gun. My point? If you are good with your weapon of choice. guns wont matter. If you spend your online time crying about what guns people use....go by a different game OR keep practicing. Til then..stfu. M14 since the beginning and im not changing cuz you little girls wanna cry about a video game.
