I would love if there were such an online game that used real life stratigies to actualy play and suceed in the game. Taking and using cover, awesome teamwork, real life accuracy. Those are just a few components in it. Just to be able to play a game that is as close to the real thing as possible would make my life. If I could choose one, and only one game to play for the rest of my life, a game that fits this criteria would be it.

we could make 1 like that in socom just get the seals to actually use tactics and not just leave the gun on fully auto and just shoot go for acuracy, and the terrorists can do things like sit in building fire rpg's at cars (i mean 4 socom 3) sit and fire outa buildings n stuff.

You don't think Socom is real enough? I mean besides lag. A lot of what you say applies to Socom.. IF people worked together. Unfortunately, people find out they can do better just running and gunning and doing their own thing. I think if stats didn't exist, people would be more likely to work together towards the goal, rather than to be the superstar who gets all the kills, plants the bombs, etc.

You can use real life strategies like covering fire, flanking, pincer moves, etc in Socom.

I also gather that tactics and strategy will make a bigger difference when theres 16 people playing on each side. Imagine 16 people all rushing the same way? Wow.

Not only would an online game that employed real-life strategies be really sweet, but imagine being a soldier that has realistic wounds, very realistic wounds. Imagine getting hit with a .50 cal and having it take your leg off, then holding off the enemy with a pistol and your last gasps of air while your squad escapes. Although it may not be feasible on even the next-gen consoles, I think extremely realistic elements to games like Socom will be implemented in the future. This means that bullet paths are mapped out when the bullet hits your character, and detects whether organs, arteries, and even nerves (spinal column) are hit, and your player reacts accordingly. It'd be a good alternative to a health bar, and create an entirely different atmosphere of gaming, and also make teamwork a necessity.

This is what kind of realism I want in a game.

I got an idea. Join the Army. Yea its an FPS but it has the best graphics out there. And its so real. You almost feel like your in it.......
