Ok everyone is talking about strategy and how they use it all the time...
so I want to see examples of what kind of crazy group strategy you all use...

FX,do you honestly expect the good players and clans to sit here and give you a full run down as to how they move and what they do?Why would somebody share their strats?That would just be teaching the enemy how to beat you.

well in Socom2 for my clan I did (depending on the map) 2 snipers 2 rushers and 4 assault, thats for 8 people on a team. For Socom 3 it'll be a whole new experience.. 16 people on a team

Well where do i begin? I tell my clan that i am going left, i tell them take the vips up the wall, i say, "lets try to win this one" those are all examples of strategy, i don't know what you want and i don't know what nightstalker6 is talking about in the other thread

I am speaking about covering fire,supression tactics,paralell ambush tactics,drawing fire,team movement tactics...etc etc etc.Grenade usage as a supression tool rather than carpet bombing gimme kills...just things like that...which aparently do not occur to anyone who has not served.

Bro...you said exactly what Ive been trying to say all along...
that is about the extent of the strategy in Socom..but some people want to come off like they use some kind of hardcore military strategy

Some people actually use real military tactics while playing SOCOM. SOTG does, the Sea Snipers do. A few of those USMC clans do.

There are more strategy movements I have seen in socom, don't get me wrong though when i say that almost no one even uses those anymore. Everyone is a point *****. Some clans use military tactics, but really, who cares? Who wants to take the time to plan out what you will do for a game? You'd have to practice that stuff forever!!!!

They work in real life, they work on the game. People don't change, just the circumstances. The tactics the military use have been proven over time and all that. It's like playing chess where every peice has control of it's space. Bottom line: they work.

Sure they work....i never said they didn't and i never will. What I said was that no one wants to spend their life practicing the game. Hell, no one wants to spend their life playing the game. It works yes, but I'd rather just play and get it out of my system instead of practicing all this "stratgey cover fire" and the rest. I'll just stick to my, "Im rushing and I'm gonna **** up some bitches" tactic, that is strategy enough
