Here's the story of how my name originated. Good thread, by the way.

So...my real name is Steve/Steven, and during my PADI certification course (Scuba diver course), I was called Scuba Steve by the rest of the classmates, thus forming my name.

The "<=>" in the middle was something that just happened. I tried making the name Scuba Steve in Socom 1, but it was already taken. I spent about five minutes trying to put something in the middle of Scuba and Steve that would be easy to remember, and not look like crap, basically.

Anyway, I tried a few things, and SCUBA<=>STEVE just seemed to work.

Well, it's actually a song from Nirvana's first album, Bleach. (I'll be willing to bet that some people out there didn't know this.)

A majority of people that I know swear that the song is about either myself or Kurt Cobain. So the name just fit for me well, and I have used it for all online games that I play - and now it's kinda like my "nickname".

I got my name from the clan 420, I all of a sudden wanted this as a name.

When I first started Socom I was in a clan call sb (Suicidal Boys)
We all had 2-3 letter clan names..so My original Socom 1 names was OZ because I am a huge fan of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne...
When Socom 2 came out some newb took my name the day it ****ing came out...I was at work and couldnt get home in time to save my name even though if I wasnt such a ****ing retard I could have reserved it on SCEA's reserve site...but I guess it was for the best since I thought that OZ wasnt all that original anyways...Socom 2 came out and I decided that I would make the name FX meaning for effects (not the TV network) I like having only a 2 letter name since its easy to send me invites, messages, less clutter on the screen, ect...I really like my name and have used it as a handle in many many games since...
