Single player translate to good multiplayer?

How does single player ability translate into multiplayer if it does at all?

not much because single player is based on stealth. You can train your shooting skills by turing off aim assist and playing missions where your in alot of firefights ie the 3rd map i think where u assalt the fort

Steps to improve multiplayer ability for single player:

1. — Always point your gun down to the floor in front of you. This way when you encounter an enemy, you have to jerk your control sticks to aim at a moment's notice. Never anticipate the location of the enemy (by anticipate, I mean that you shouldn't pick up your gun crosshair when you are about to see one, but don't 'physically' see them)

2. — Always move slowly. Moving slowly everywhere you go teaches you patience. Patience is the #1 thing a good multiplayer player must use.

3. Agression = death — the only exception to this is if you know the maps and the locations of the enemies like the back of your hand. However, on multiplayer it can be hard to anticipate enemy positions.

4.Always use the 12 GAUGE PUMP. This will force you to work on your accuracy and getting close to enemies (which shouldn't be a problem for you since you're always moving slowly).

Figuring out how to beat certain situations in single player and how to out think your opponent online are two different concepts. You really only need single player for learning how to use the grenades/guns.. the terrorists in single player stand still when they shoot at you(and take 3 bullets to die) so if you can't hit them, dont even bother playing online. Theres no relation between the two and getting used to playing against the computer probably only hurts you.

i personally think single player only helps with the basics (controls: press r1 to shoot) onve your at that stage and know how to shoot single player wont help you because

takes too few bullets to down a terrorist compared to single player
the single player terrorists are idiots and stand still while shooting and seek no cover
the terrorists in single player cant shoot for sh!t

Well I have been trying to prepare for my online pay, I'm waiting for my wireless router ethernet bridge to come in...

But I usually take a Desert Eagle and a HK5K onto any of the Russian missions. I'll have Jester get killed, then I tell Bravo to stay and I do the mission alone. Except when I have FLATFOOT...I hate him. I'm hoping it's a good way to prepare

No kidding, that's like what you shouldn't do. Don't anticipate where enemies are? Use a 12 gauge pump?Move slowly? Point your crosshairs on the floor?
Come on, those are things that you aren't suppose to do for online or single player for that matter. You have to anticipate where your enemies are, you can anticipate but you still don't know.
Basically for online you gotta throw lots of grenades and be aggressive and defensive at times. Don't try to hide prone or something you'll just die. Just play online, you'll get used to it, it's not as hard as you may think but it's really hard to get constantly good at it.
But one thing is for sure, it's definitely a lot more fun and not as repetitive as single player.

:? what are you talking about. of course you shouldnt point ur xhairs at the ground during online, but for single player...it helps because youll have to jerk it up and put your xhairs on the terrorist, fast. this helps improve your aim in online. you may not be jerking up but what if your being shot at behind. when you turn around youll have trained enough to put your xhairs on him without taking any extra time. Using the 12 gauge improves your timing in case you want to snipe or use the m16. if your good with the 12 gauge youll be good with almost any gun.

So his tips did a sh!t load of meaning in it.
