That is something that has always pissed me off. Why do the terrorists have the M9?

I believe this weapon is standard issue side-arm correct? Why is it so damn weak and sound like its fireing rubber bands? This gun needs to go back to the SEALs and needs to be made stronger. Something slightly less powerful than the Mark23/SP-10 would suffice for me.

Hate to drag this back up. The STG-77,M4A1,M16A2,552, and i think the iw-80a2 and the ra-14 all shoot the standard 5.62mm NATO (.223rem) round in real life. Barrel lengths are nearly the same belive it or not. Maximum effective range is also nearly the same in real life.

The only real difference is in muzzle velocity. The m16a2 and the m4a1 both shoot at around 850meters per second.The iw-80 shoots at 940 meters per second. The 552 shoots at around 2379fps which is slightly lower than the m4a1/16a2 when converted to meters.The STG-77 shoots around 970meters per second.The standard barrels on the stg and the iw are signifigantly shorter than the 552,m/16a2/4A1.This is what causes the iw an stg to 'spray' at close range. The stg and the iw can both be equipped with with longer heavier barrels.

In real life i would put my money on the iw or stg at close range and the m4a1 and m16a2 at long range.The 552's only real advantage was its 30round magazine capacity and its lightweight. Its all in all almost identical to the m4a1 and the m16a2.

In the game i would put my money on the stg-77 or the iw80a2 at close range and the m4a1 or m16a2 at long range or precise shooting. The silenced option for the m4 an the m16 is also a plus in the game.

I don't think that one weapon is better than another. I do belive that one person is better than another person.

I forgot about the M14. The reason the m14 is so powerful is'nt because of the recoil or the spray its because of the ammunition. The m14 shoots a 7.62mm round which is noticeably bigger than the 5.62mm. The 7.62mm is (.308 Winchester) leaves the barrel of the M14 at 853 m/s which is nearly identical as the m4a1/16a2. This means that the m14 has the stopping power of the .308 coupled with the near identical barrel length as the m4a1/16a2 and cyclic fire rate.


Also the game doesnt accuratly depict the cylic rates of all the guns correctly. I belive the game design was biased because of its name. The STG,iw,ra,m16/4a1,552,m14 all have nearly the same fire/cyclic rates in real life. The game depicts the guns having a vast difference in fire rates which is not true. The difference could be summed up in a matter of 50 or 60 round average difference.

its a matter of opinion, there is no best gun...cuz personally i think the m14 SUCKS, but hey its MY opinion. I prefer the M82 or M16, its all about OPINION!

Wow, nice post. I always wondered why the STG sprayed close up, it seemed so identical the M4A1, it's only a little weaker to me. Great info.

I like the STG. It's a terrorist weapon and I prefer the terrorists. I had not used it for a while until yesterday and I fell in love with it again. It's not extremely accurate, but it has a very high fire rate, so it can still down a person easily.

Yes, is all abaut opinion.

I think The m4 is the best, cuz have :

5.56mm NATO, Gas operated, rotating bolt, max efective range of 370 m, 800 rounds per minute(i think), USA makes this weapon, semi / auto, 30 rounds in maga and a lot of presition.

Have a lot of things for intall: forwad handgrip, visible ligth, m203, sound supresor(sd), visible laser, scope of 4x, i cant rememver more.

by this the m4 is used in a lot of countrys.

stg is really a more comparable weapon to the ra-14 as they both have about the same range, spray, and fire rate, id say m4 is better all around but stg is better close range because of its sheer amount of bullets it spews out (just look at its fire rate stat)

as far as real-life stats go STGS are really as much of a reliable weapon when compared side by side with the favored AKs of many terrorists primarily because AKs are built to be very durable and STGs are more expensive and just slightly better. In terms of care, its just much easier for terrorists to be able to buy in bulk and not have a special budget for expensive weapons when nearly all the combat is done in a guerilla-type, take what you can fashion where outright weapon superiority is absolutely necessary. SEALs on the other hand prefer M4s and M16s as far as assault rifles because as long as you purchase an expensive, high-end assault rifle, you might as well get the best with the widest set of options.

With the m4 i do more headshot what with any weapon, o $$$$$hit, i love the m4, is the best in everything: Camping, Rushing, For noobs, Campingsnipe, recon.

Haha, it does get some beautiful headshots. I like to rush with it when I'm going to be close to people, I can't use the M16 that good up close, I don't know why. I just screw up the rythem. But that's besides the point, M4A1 is pretty sweet up close, better than the STG, I like the STG for longer range though.
