socom 2....changing lives?
dont know why i thought of this but....has socom 2 or just socom in general whether being with the online gaming or not, changed your life in any way(ex:playing it too much and not getting other things done that need to be done etc. etc.) and explain why.......

Thats the thing about playing games, they are fun to play but you need to play them in moderation. If you play a game all the time it will get boring too. I got addicted to video games at one point and I never got anything done, now I play them in moderation so they don't consume my life.

It sure has.

I made a really good friend because of Socom. I have seen him face to face, but we talk a lot and I would do just about anything that I could for him.

I have made a lot of connections with good people because of this game. How many games can say that?

I'd probably work more if I wasn't so tempted to go home and play Socom and chill. I also don't go to the gym like I used to.

When I first started playing it, I have lost track of time a lot and deprived myself of many hours of sleep. Sometimes I would not be able to get my homework done because of the temptation of the game.

Since then, I have learned to control myself a little better. :D

I am constantly late for work from so many late nights playing online with my friends.. They always seem to talk to me into 1-2 more maps when I am ready to go to bed.. I am surprised I still have a job somedays.

Since I feel guilty about how much I play sometime's, I guess I fall into the "playin' when I should be doin' something else" category. I don't neglect things that are important (work, chores, etc,) but I could definitely find something a little more productive to occupy my time. But it's so darned addicting.
How addicting? Well, I find myself getting my butt kicked regularly, but I still keep coming back for more.

I got the game a few months ago, (for Christmas) so I'm in that phase of addiction. The game hasn't gotten boring yet, and I made some good friends. Socom has helped me improve my social skills, because I have a hard time talking with others I don't really know well. At first, I'd never really talk into the mic, but now I'll go all out and be a retard.
