Do any of you guys snipe in crouch position. I always do that. I keep my crosshairs in one spot and wait for hin to run into it. Also as im doing this, I move back and forth so it is hard for him and other snipers to get me. I find going in prone makes you such and easy headshot target. Plus your aim isnt any mmuch worse if your in crouch rather than being in prone position. Try it out sometime.

I use whatever stance I'm in and just shoot every time he enter's the red dot radius. It usually works with a 50 cal.

Developing efficient pistol skills is another key element. When switching between sniper positions always comes the risk of engaging an enemy, so have your pistol ready. When terrorist, try to mine up entry points to your position to prevent a SEAL from sneaking up behind you (but don't trap yourself). Always know your map, and the "popular" spots and paths in each so you have some idea as to what to keep watch over. Don't be afraid to pick up weapons off of the fallen if it comes down to defusing a bomb or a similiar situation.

Also if you are using weaker sniper rifles, aim at the hips. By shooting the enemy in the hips this slows them down greatly. It gives you plenty of time to line up the next shot on their head or whereever. Usually newer snipers need to use this tactic. Once you get good, take head shots.

Once you have killed a few guys move to a near by location and watch the area you were just sniping in, also do this from round to round. You can usually trick someone twice. If you kill someone from the same spot twice, move, before the third time they will get you.

Get the Ghillie suits.
Bro. This is the S2 section. No one needs advice at sniping in S3.

people usually say im crazy for this but trust me it actually works....always if ure the SEALs use the SR-25 SD. many people say "why would u rather have to fire 3 shots into the guy to bring him down when u can bring him down in one with shot form a more powerful one." the answer is noise and muzzle flash. Believe it or not a silenced singleshot weapon (if used properly) is 20x better than a full auto loud one. The M87ELR is a fantastic one shot kill, but it is extremely loud. It is very possible if ure in a more seculded map to hear its shot on the other end of the field. i have played in extremely crowded maps where i was hiding in the shadows with the SR-25 SD the were 3 people walking by where i was. i had taken all 3 off them out with quick headshots before they even knew i was there.Ok and u other avid snipers out the might be saying "well i could have taken all 3 out before they knew i was there with out getting head shots." this leads me to my next point. the muzzle flash on the M87 is so big the u can see it from a mile away in broad daylight. i have had many snipers shoot at me with an M87 or M82 and miss. i saw where the muzzle flash had come from and fired a couple of shots with my pistol to take them out. the SR-25 SD has virtually no muzzle flash which is ideal for sniping from dark corners or a night. i hope u atleast give my method a try, if u play 2 whole games with the SR-25-SD and stick to the shadows..........theyll be dead be dead before they even see u...thank you for reading and good luck!!!!!!

Vigilance Tip

when sniping at vigilence, always make sure you are behind something or have somethin to hide behind nearby because there is sniping spots everywhere in that map and the shots can come from any direction.
