It depends, really. If I know im going up against another sniper, I do the "quick on the draw" style of sniping. You've gotta shoot before he does, and do it in a certain amount of time. I've become very nice at quick-sniping and this is very handy

FOR ONE THING SOLIDIFIED SUCKS AZZ @ SNIPING...EVERYTIME WE'VE PLAYED ON S2 CROSSROADS---I'VE OWNED THAT SCRUB EVERYTIME...HE DEFINITELY DOESN'T WANT TO SEE ME ON S3...WHAT A SCRUB........LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Another thing to do (Especially if your a newb at sniping is go to ALOT of Vigilance Snipe/Bounds rooms. This will get you used to using each rifle and tryin it out and also I know those prick crossers can be a pain ALOT but you need to also realize you can make the best of every situation. Like in this case It will get you good a "SHOT-GUNNING" for when you are in a real game and don't have a QUICK 2 set because you have on RUN AND TALK and your a little to close to the enemy and no time to pull the pistol.

Sniping

Tips

Depending upon what character you are and what weapon you are carrying, usually you can't carry nades. You can carry with NO ADDITIONAL WEIGHT. smoke nades. They work great to confuse other snipers in the area. Throw them in one direction, the enemy snipers will always watch the smoke for movement, then you can sneak into position and start sniping.

Also if you are using weaker sniper rifles, aim at the hips. By shooting the enemy in the hips this slows them down greatly. It gives you plenty of time to line up the next shot on their head or whereever. Usually newer snipers need to use this tactic. Once you get good, take head shots.

Once you have killed a few guys move to a near by location and watch the area you were just sniping in, also do this from round to round. You can usually trick someone twice. If you kill someone from the same spot twice, move, before the third time they will get you.

Get the Ghillie suits.

Movement
Patience
Marksmanship

Perfect these and you can call yourself a proper sniper

Not an SASR SD noob on storm front

My tip.

Learn the maps
Use a ghillie suit to your advantage
Avoid high ground if you can. This is an obvious spot for snipers to go which is why you have many scopes focused in them directions. On crucible i snipe the open ground to the tank from the save level then run off and shoot any1 who tries to come down around the massive tanks

I dont know.. Im just naturally good at sniping. My thing is just instinct. And its just my sixth sence to kill someone with a headshot or 1 shot 1 kill. I have never shot anybody more than twice with a sniepr rifle in the last month. I just naturally shoot for the head and get it everytime. Now I just look for shadows and I cover my own. And the smoke thing is usually what i do on either devils road or harvester.. But when other teams do it to me it doesnt phase me. i usually dont stay scoped in till i actually see the enemy i just stare at the middle of my screen then wait till my eye catches movement and then i scope in on them. (Unless there are other snipers). Sniping is great though. Thats all i do except on fault im a rusher. The only maps i play are Killing Fields, Harvester, Fault, and Devils Road. But those are my sniping thoughts.

If you see someone running or they just passed around a corner, call em out right away, maybe theres some near them, also, try calling them outin porportion to your teammates (i.e. DaKilla he's on your 6 (behind you)). Or he just went around that corner to your right Wetworks, just like that.

I can't stress it enough CALL THEM OUT

Cheers
*First...How could you miss a sitting target
*Second.....Why not call him after you take the shot on a moving target. You could kill him right away...if you call out too much all you are is a scout. i like to call after i miss the first shot, it works for me maybe not you
