Close Quarters Combat with M14.

I am an avid user of the M14 but until someone is about 10 feet away, I get killed 70% of the time (Unless they're so close like hugging me, then I usually always kill them).

What do you guys do when someone gets this close to you?

I have seen people strafe left and right while HOLDING down the fire button so the recoil goes crazy. Basically spray and pray.

I am an awesome m14 user. With about 30 acc. on certain maps. Just if your up close like say on FrostFire that's a close quarters level. Aim for the head you have a 63% chance (real number) per second to hit them. And hey the first shot is usually the most accurate.

9 times out of 10, people don't usually get this close to me... 'cause usually they are already dead!!! BWHAHAHAHAHA!

(Unless of course, I am using the automatic gauge... then you absolutely have to get close to get a kill...)

if there close to me and i have a m14 ill prboly just aim my crosshairs near there thighs and just unload, i usualy just get a instant kill quickly cause its really powerful

True... come to think of it, I get more headshots with the M-14 than any other gun that I decide to use.

First stand up And preset the aim to about the neck, try not to move it up or down(take pactice) Move slow in the shadows make sure the m14 is on full auto. When the guy pops out shoot at the chin with The gun on full auto i usually hit him 2 in the head. Also use the screen shot behide your player its easyer to see. On door entry(Breeching) the m14 some times gets caught on the door, I hate that. whne really up close run at angle to the right Or left , then use the rifle butt. Its better because you don't use up any ammo.

Yesterday, I went 23-7 on Sandstorm as a terrorist using an M14. I just pulled the crosshairs in the direction the guy was running. I also got at least 2 grenade kills per round :D .
