That's a mother ****ing shitload of data. I don't usually post news but this really really interests me. However, I'm wondering if they might price this just a bit higher for games devs might intend to make with it.

It won't make a difference.

Will cost too much in the PS3s lifetime, and not only that, devs don't even use 50 gigs wisely. They just make a game as if it was for a DVD and just leave it all uncompressed.

If they can't take advantage of 50 gigs, 400 gigs would be even more pointless. The only way I can see this ever being useful is developers putting all of their PS3 games on one disc and selling it as a special collection kinda dealio. That would be kind of cool.

The only good i see coming out of this is one case tv boxed sets in HD. The wonder years season 1-6 baby!

I remember the Wonder Years being a lot longer than 6 seasons.

I agree with Zero. It's highly unlikely we'll see anything take itself serious enough to try using one of these on the PS3.

I actually see multiple seasons/boxsets on this. Those boxsets ****ing suck...you lose one you ruin the whole thing (solution don't lose it).

People will probably not consider it as much, unless that "one" crazy person actually decides to make use of that much data and kinda give people ideas. **** is funny and possible...for curiosity I just wanna see.

But best use for now = Getting rid of boxsets.

Nope just six seasons, dont you remember the final, double episode where they had sex in the barn? It took 15 gigs and a couple months to finish the torrent too(no seeders). Id love to see this on bluray, or even DVD for that matter, but we will probably never see it, since the music rights are so damn expensive ABC wont do it.

I would also like to see Family matters on DVD. I sure loved Urkel back when I was a kid lol.




O and kevin, a big chunk of those 50 or so gigs were uncompressed audio. Did you really think they could fill the whole disc with technology?
