    Oh lord..

    People, you really are over analysing this scene. It is for simple reasons;

    Just like in MW2 with the attack on the airport killing innocents this is the same but with a little girl.

    They do this for a reason: To move the player.

    It's to make you feel how the people of the attack would feel; horrified.
    If this happened in reality (But don't worry, it actually didn't) then people of the world would be shocked, horrified and emotional.
    IT IS TO RAISE EMOTIONS.
    They do it so you feel hatred towards Makarov and the terrorists and see them for what they truly are; cruel and harsh for damage innocents. And what's more innocent than a little girl? It shows that Makarov doesn't give a sh!t. Not about his own people, not even for children. It makes you walk in the public's eye by being horrified by him and walk in Shepherd's shoes (by allowing Makarov to slip through your fingers in MW 1 & 2) makes you more anxious and the victory more successful.

    The reason they killed the girl is to lurk emotions through and honestly, I think it did just that.

    I thought it was completely messed up, that is something that shouldn't necessarily have been put it, seeing that if it wasn't you'd still get the idea of the game, but I feel they put it in there to produce further emotion from the audience against Makarov, so in the end of the game, you feel like more justice has been done in killing him.

    I know this might be a little irrelevant, but WOW video game graphics are getting amazing! Remember when all video games were just little pixels and such? I clicked the link to the article and saw the picture and I thought it was a picture of REAL people at first glance!

    ANYWAY, I don't see anything wrong with that. I mean, yeah it might be a little cruel-looking (lol) but it's just a game, and I'm pretty sure the more they add these kinds of things to games, the less people will complain about it. I remember when GTA San Andreas would be on the news saying things like "Game influences child into horrible behavior" and it would show a kid biting some guy in a suit (Don't really remember very well). Now that the video game industry is providing more and more content like that, people are getting over all the hype. I'm sure the same will eventually happen with the child thing...

    That is the sole reason I steer clear from most mature games. I don't see a reason for buying games where you mercilessly attack innocents. That being said, it's true, people do get more attached with the scene, but I feel there would be a more better way to do so, one that's not so unneeded.

    I view Video games like I do movies, in a sense.

    What they did is one of the best methods to shock the player, and to stir up emotions. Yes it's ****ed up, but that's why they put it there. If you're buying a M rated game you should expect pretty much everything. It's a game, it's not real, yes it's realistic but it's intended to. Get over it.
