Apparently it's Marines week on the Military channel. There was a show on late last night, I forget what it was called, but it followed recruits through Marines bootcamp.
From start to graduation they covered it all in an hour, including the Crucible. It was good too, not realtyTV cheese. Look to see if you can catch it again tonight or tomorrow, it'll let you know what you're in for.

That's where the mental toughness comes in. If you(not you, just people in general) can't complete that, you have no business in the military, because **** can get WAY worse than that.
I just say go out and give it your all. Don't try too hard, don't overanalyze the situations that come to you, and kick some effin' ***.
GET SOME MARINE!
I'd love to join the Marines, but I don't really know if I could hang, honestly. I want that pink mist

I guess when I say I'm "worried" about it I used the wrong word. I know I can do it, plus I'll have 11 weeks of training behind me. It's just going to be a ***** but I'll do it, I'm not leaving Parris Island until I'm a United States Marine.

I've seen it before. I live on the Military channel, VS, and whatever the music channel is, 213 I think. I know what I'm getting into, I've done a lot of research on the Marines and what bootcamp is going to be like, and I've talked to Ssgt. a bunch of times. It's going to be hard mentally and physically, but I'm ready.

Be prepared... The hardest part about it being on Pariss Island and Jacksonville NC. They will make you roll your pants legs up to just below your knees to let the sand fleas get yea. Sand fleas are a nasty critter, they will leave your legs red, tender and itchy. Also in that area there is nothing but titty bars and tattoo parlors. Nothing really to do.

hcky it is good that you are working out now. Keep in mind that in basic it isnt as important what you can do going in. They will push you to do more then you can no matter what you can do going in. Its part of breaking you down. Dont worry they will build you back up but its going to be into what they need. good luck.

Parris island, thats the one with the chicks right? Half the male recruits go to each base but one of them gets all the female recruits. Not a bad deal really.

Believe me I know there going to push me farther than what I can do now. But I want to get to Parris Island is the best physical shape possible. I enjoy running and working out, I really do.

Actually Pat Bizzle lives closer to Parris Island then I do, but I've got family stationed down there now and we go and visit ever so often.

Without goats and cows, us country boys have nothing to do. In that area all you see is fields and field of tobacco, soy bean or sweat potatoes.
Hahaha made me think of that scene in super troopers where that guy has that fake bear attached to himself...

Anyone else been bothered by the topic title?
