I get the same thing in the muscle under my shoulder blades, after a while it turns into a horrible aching pain and it wont stop aching until the following day. I've been to see a physio about it and they just made it crack horribly, never helped though. They say the cause is bad posture when using a computer. Have you ever tried sitting in the "correct" computer position? That hurts after a while also.
Also I sometimes wake up and the back of my head feels a bit numb, probably because I don't have a brain though.
I wouldn't think it was anything to worry about, if you've had a recent fall or bang to that area, that could be the reason. If not, I would go see a doctor just to be on the safe side.
