AHHHH, Sinuses. Help me

Sinus problems do suck. I had been sick all last week with a case of the horrible. If you don't mind being a bit girly, a face steamer or one of those vicks vaporizers do amazing things for sinus pressure and such.

Claritin does a pretty good job, but a lot of my illnesses are allergen related, so maybe it's just my situation. (Dust and cats are my current nemesis)

I'm about to go sit in a nice warm bath. That always comforts me when I'm feeling like this. And why didn't I think of Vicks Vapo rub. That stuff always helps me. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Take a hot shower and let it run on your back and face. That loosens some snot up.

I'm glad I don't get allergies to "the outside" anymore. I am asthmatic and used it used to flare up at this time of year, but luckily it doesn't happen anymore.

I remember my Mum/Mom once just held my face over a bowl of hot water with a towel over my head. I don't know if she was trying to drown me or help me, but it wasn't a nice experience.

I wish I could use Vicks Vapour rub, but I'm allergic to that.

My guess would be that the steam from the water being so hot, goes into your nostrils, and helps get rid of all the gunk that's in your nose. Don't quote me on that but that may be it.

I know what it does, but she still might have been trying to drown me.

When I am in the shower and have a cold, I can feel all the crap up my nose "loosen up" which is great until you try blowing your wet nose on a tissue.

Weird thing is, since I made my last post in this thread, I got a sinus headache. Great success!

I must say, I'm feeling quite better, just a little runny nose now, big improvement from this morning. This can be locked now. Thanks ombres.

Glad to see you're feeling better. I will leave it open in case anyone wishes to chime in to the wonders of the sinus cavities for help the NEXT time someone is a little sickly.
