Gold's Gym

The people here at my Gold's Gym are complete pricks. This is the third Gold's Gym that I've been to, where the staff are *******s. They act like just because they have bigger biceps, they are a better person, and you aren't **** compared to them. Does anyone else have this problem with the people at Gold's Gym?

I am a member at Gold's Gym and have not had a problem with the staff. I think the staff has a bit of an attitude but they do help if I ask for it (whether it be for a spotter or for advice). I say you write a letter to the headquarters if it annoys you that much. That is absurd in my opinion.

Yeah, I think I need to do something. Maybe I overreacted on the topic, but this staff guy was just talking down to me like I had no clue what a gym was. I think it's just my area, we've had this certain Gold's Gym around for about 25 years and it's pretty much full of body builder's playground. They must think just because I'm not at that level yet, that I'm not serious about it or something.

Dude of course that's what's going on. I go in there, all 5' 9" 165 lbs and donn't look like much. I will ask for a spotter and the jokes of "how much could you lift anyway?" start to fly. Then when I put up 235 they quiet down a bit, but unless you are gigantic nobody will ever take you seriously. Just do your own thing man and don't let them get to you.

That's why I am no longer a member of Golds Gym. After about 3 months I was done with their ****. Then I begged my dad to add an in-home gym to our house. I r0x0rz.

I'm assuming you go to the one on Stevenson...I have a couple of friends that go there.

I was thinking about getting a membership at Gold's, but I think I'm gonna get one at Powerhouse in Madison Heights because most of my football team goes there and it's closer to my house. When I went there with my friend the staff doesn't really do much at all, they just sit behind a counter.

I belong to the Ultimate Fitness that is by me, and the staff pretty much does nothing there as well. They sit behind the counter, watch t.v, and occasionally sign new people up when they come in. It's really not a bad thing since if I ever need a spottr or what not, I just asked one of the guys working out. It's pretty much the same crowd of guys that go there, so you come to know them. I think I would rather have a staff that does minimal work, than a staff that looks down upon you if you can't bench over 300 pounds

They got this place called Club Fit near me.... Really nice, no problems like that. Really good nice staff who like what they do.

I don't go there yet, I'm not an actual member. I go there a few times a month and just pay the $10.00 fee to workout for the day. I usually just lift at my school, or at home, but since I broke my bench, I've been wanting to keep working out my chest so I've been going there every now and then. I have been recently thinking about a membership, and that's when I was treated like **** by some douche bag there.

well i have a rec center with a bunch of work out machines. All it costs is 5.20$ for me to get in. It's nice there the trainers give you tips for certain machines and help you out.
