Calves Shaking

Hey fellas I got a bit of a question for a athletic trainer soon to be or just a person who knows a lot about health.

Anyways ever since my high school soccer season began my calves have been shaking uncontrollably whenever I run and it has severely halted my playing ability to the point where I have to walk 1/4 of the time in the usually easy 3 mile run.

Put it this way I was getting a 20:36 before this problem started and now I am getting a 25:48. I need help! STAT!

By shaking I assume you mean rapid spasms?

Come on, MUK. You know he's fat. I mean...
Look @ his name! Loud Assassin... You can SEE the fat dripping off of it.

On topic, lol:
It could be a problem w/ your skeletal muscles. Go see a doctor and ask him what's up's all I can tell you. My calves used to spasm, but that was after a LONG workout... Never happened to me DURING, though. That could be something serious. Never hurts to check to make sure, right?

Spasms usually are something neurological. If they spasm so much you can't play with no apparent cause, I would definitely go see a doctor.

If it is muscular spasms drink 8 oz. of tonic water every three or four days. Don't ask why, it was advice given to me a long time ago and I know it works. I ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track for four years in high school and when I had severe leg cramps I drank this and it got rid of it completely.

Hey, it might work for you, but he might be different. It could have a freak reaction w/ him and kill him....

God forbid.

Alright I'll try that, for one thing I know right now is that it keeps getting worse than the day before.
