    Try drinking soda water, much better for you, and you get to drink both at the same time.

    I was in this same situation not too long ago.

    What I found that worked for me was -

    Natural juices. I personally prefer orange juice and a cranberry/grape combination, called Cran-Grape.

    A 24 pack of bottled water each grocery store visit. You'd be surprised at how much more water you'd drink when you have a box of bottle water in your kitchen.

    And finally, Gatorade and Powerade. When you aren't really in the mood for water and want something with taste, yet not a fruity taste such as orange juice or cran-grape, or another juice drink you may prefer, Gatorade and Powerade are wonderful substitutions.

    This isn't really relevant, but I figured I'd throw it in here (please read);

    With the Gator/Powerade and bottled water, it's best to NOT refrigerate them. While a nice cold drink is really refreshing during times of moderate to severe thirst. But for just regular sipping/drinking, the water, Gatorade and Powerade are great for hydrating, and room temperature liquids absorb into your body much better than an ice cold drink. The more fluids you can absorb, the better hydration you receive.

    Gatorade and Powerade are terrible substitutions. Especially Powerade.

    There is no substitution for water, it's the best thing for your body. Keep it at room temp, and sip on it. You'll feel a lot better once you only drink water. Or you can always work for a major soda company and witness what soda does when its left to sit. I quit drinking the stuff, I can only imagine what it does to your body.

    The sugar and calories you cut when you stop drinking water, are the same sugar and calories you get with Powerade/Gatorade. If you're just sitting around, playing video games, stick with water. It has 0 calories and it's damn good for you.

    Now, if you're working out and burning calories, drink Powerade, but only after you dilute it. It's much better for you.

    Truth... but I wasn't really taking that into account, lol. Remember I was saying what worked for *me*. I don't sit around all day so I wasn't thinking of that side of it. I was thinking strictly of the hydrating and a different taste parts. my b

    Good for you, soda is absolutely horrible for you. I lost a good amount of weight when I got out of college and cut out soda completely, I felt better too.
    I'm always looking to buy games for new and old consoles. If you have one, two, or an entire collection to sell send me a PM.

    Soda is the main thing to cut out from you diet. My family stopped drinking soda a few years back and man did it help. I feel much better and healthier. No soda really helps your body.

    I love Soda too much to do this, specifically Dr. Pepper and unfortunately I don't think I'd ever be able to do this, I don't like really any other drinks besides water and milk depending on what I'm eating, I don't drink juice or anything else.
