The fact you made an account here to share us your sob story about not being able to play video games, might suggest that you should listen to your parents.

Listen to your parents. They sound like they know what's best for you.
Excel in school. Get into a good college. Get a good job. Be social and outgoing.

When and how did it become status quo around here to rain shit down on every new member whenever possible? This place is leagues away from the awesome community I stumbled on so many years ago...

Sick, I can understand why you're upset. I mean, an hour a day doesn't really seem like that much. Without knowing your age and assuming you're not a pain in the ass kid, or a fuck up in school with bad grades and is constantly in trouble, your best bet may be to dumbfound your folks with some level headed maturity.

Give it three days without any grief, and then casually and calmly, bring the topic up with them at dinner, or while riding in the car with them somewhere. Just do it some time when it's non-confrontational and there's something else going on as a mild distraction.

Let them know that you understand and recognize their concern and wanting what's best for you, but also express that it is a hobby you enjoy. Then tell them you respect their opinion that you play too often, but you feel it's a little over the top to restrict you from it for an entire month, that you feel like you're being punished for doing something wrong. Then ask them if there's some way that you all can compromise and agree on a way that you can still enjoy playing video games, but not to the extent that they feel you spend too much time doing it. Suggest a preset schedule, like an hour every other night, and maybe some extra time here and there as an incentive for good grades or extra chores.

You're likely to only get one shot at this, as repeated attempts will come off as naggy. So plan your approach and what you're going to say, maybe rehearse it a little, and hope for the best.

Good advice here. Listen to this man, SIKxClAyToN.

Omega is a well respected, honest individual. He is a gentleman and a scholar. Also could easily be voted Sexiest Man Alive, but that's beside the point.

As Omega said, bring this to your parents casually, and show a sense of maturity. I don't know your age, but judging by the situation I'd assume you're fairly young. Don't throw a baby tantrum about it when addressing your parents. Speak properly, show some maturity, and give good reasoning behind your argument.

    Good luck.

I think playing video games too much is bad for ya. and watching too much tv is bad for ya too. you should go read a book, or go take a walk. go to a friend's house, or a movie. that's my advice.

ever read the Maximum Ride series? it's really good.

Masturbation is great, nothing like sitting on your hand until it is numb and giving yourself a "stranger", switching hands fuckin rocks too feels like someone who doesnt know what they are doing
