Of course VII was my favorite. I love the whole game, everything about it is perfect. Especially the music.
Talking about the Sphere Grid system. If you liked that, did you like the license system in FFXII? I dunno if you played it. I just recently beat it, I kept putting it down and picking it back up.
And yeah Auron was badass.
:D
And yeah the license system didn't bother me cause it just seemed to be an altered version of the Sphere Grid system. Seemed a tad more redundant at times (which is why I prefer the Sphere Grid) but still okay.

I only leveled up 3 people in that XII. I didn't realize how much harder it would be. By the end of the game I had three people at level 53, and three down at like 12. It was pretty funny how even though they were level 12 they had thousands of license points, since they still gain LP when not fighting.
If its the FINAL fantasy, how can there be more than one?
Um... it was supposed to be the final game for the creator, but the fan base became so large that he made more, and well, it just kinda blew up from there. I've played them all up to 12 and have enjoyed every minute of it. 6, 7, and 10 are the best impo.
I love Final Fantasy VII the most, also. I spent a RIDICULOUS amount of time on it... getting all characters, doing all side quests, etc. Although I'm not old enough to have memories before FFVII, I have all of the games, and play them all on a regular basis. :D Except FF1, of course. I can't find a cartridge.
haha i remember FF like it was yesterday great memories all of the FF series got the complete set i just started playing ff7 over.

Yeah you can probly find a psx on craigs list or ebay and ffVII was the first rpg I ever played and when I finished it the first go round I had to go back and play just to make sure I wasn't interacting with a movie got all the hidden charecters had lke 4 golden chocoboos and everything and after that I had to see what was before that so I wentout and got 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 and loved evryone of thoughs I also got addicted to skys of arcaidia and suikoden but the ff series has always been my fav and I can't wait for XIII to come out
Hmm....probably liked IX the best, though it was the first one I played...then I went kinda backwards. Still have yet to finish 4, 5, and 6 (final dungeon on 4 and 6). X was pretty good (sphere grid was great)...playing XI right now, though it definitely gets boring at times...Chains of Promathia is probably the best expansion and Wings of the Goddess seems okay...if only they'd finish it.
Thought 8 was okay and for a long time I was wondering why the final battles seemed so difficult (converted bahamut's card into 99 megalixers to get through it) until I found out that all the enemies in the games level up with you...which is one reason why I'm not too thrilled with Oblivion but that's off-topic.
12 annoyed the hell out of me...I don't know if its the voice-acting, the meaningless story, or what. Halfway through, I decided to consult a guide to see what I was missing and found out that I screwed up a side quest early on by sell one of the items required that dropped off one of the hunted bosses. I thought the license grid was just a numbed down version of the sphere grid that they threw up because they have to have a different system for every game.
Heres a new one for the list Crisis Core. How can you not love that game? Its so worth playing if you played and loved VII, it tells all the background behind everything and theirs voices! lol Reading all the stuff for the psx games is just irritating but i deal with it cause their so fun. Im thinking ill probably get made fin of for have crisis core as my favorite but oh well, i also liked Dirge of Cerberus since you find out vincents past its so dark and badass lol
Hey guys, I have recently gotten back into RPG's. I just watched Advent Children, which was bad fucking ass, so I read up on Final Fantasy and there are games without Cloud?! What games would you recommend me picking up to play?

They are all pretty different. And the characters from one game change to the next. Except for FFX and FFX-2
Cloud is only in FF7 which is personally my favorite but came out a very long time ago. People that try to play it now usually hate the graphics and old-school gameplay and can't get into it. After FF10, the newest 11 and 12 have been very very very different from the previous ones. It is completely new gameplay and some different types of stories. Also, FF11 is online and sucks people's lives away
It really all depends on your preference. But every new game in the series is a new story in a new land with new people.
