Yea, XII was a great game.
Loved how the battles were and everything else.
If only if I could play XI (Online only). Need a credit card of course haha :P
And it's monthly pay, so meh.
Don't forget about Mass Effect, which is an RPG that's coming out on 360 from the same people that brought Knights of The Old Republic to the world. I've heard nothing but good things about that game, and it will probably be the next RPG that I play...
And Fallout 3 by the same people as Oblivion =p
I never played KOTOR but only heard great things about it. And I had no idea Mass Effect was an RPG, it's hyped up so much that it just sounds like another big FPS coming out.
Personally I'm a fan of the Final Fantasy series as well. As for the titles that I own with the Final Fantasy name:
Gameboy
The Final Fantasy Legend
Final Fantasy Legend II
Final Fantasy Legend III
Gameboy Advance
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Nintendo DS
Final Fantasy III
Nintendo
Final Fantasy
Super Nintendo
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Gamecube
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Playstation
Final Fantasy Chronicles
Final Fantasy Anthology
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy Tactics
Playstation 2
Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X-2
Final Fantasy XI (I just own it right now for the sake of having it - I can't play it right now)
Final Fantasy XII
I don't have:
Any of the Playstation Portable titles.
Any of the Gameboy Advance titles except Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (Yes I know it was bad - I just want it though).
All of the Final Fantasy XI expansions.
Any of the PC titles.
Any of the Japanese titles.
I'm playing 7 right now cause the majority say its the best, and I just happen to have it in a box in the closet. I really like X the best so far. Now that XII is only 20 bucks, I'll be picking that up now cause I'm a cheap bastard. Final XIII along with the new socom is going to make me buy a PS3.
There was a true story somewhere where (Need to find the link)...when Square first started they weren't that big of a company. They were about to run out of business when they decided to make a final game for their company "Final" Fantasy...thinking because this would be their last game ever before the company ran out of business.
Ironically, "Final" Fantasy was a huge hit all over Japan and such...it brought back their company and they decided to make more "Final" Fantasy's.
I forget which couple of websites I read this on...but it's a true thing.
Yea, I just got back to one of the first Finals I played, (Which was 9) Oh man, playing the card game Cant recall of what it was called...but anywho, IX is one of my favorites.
I think I've played most of the final fantasy series games :[
I got so addicted at 7 then started back tracking to all the old school and then going forward with the series.
I personally thought 8 was good :]
I almost own every single Final Fantasy game ever made including an extra unopened Final Fantasy 7.
The first Final Fantasy game I played was Tactics that I received from a friend. Tactics was amazing in every aspect and I knew I wanted to beat the others.
My favorite was probably FF7 to be honest, followed by 8. Also Chrono Trigger that comes with Final Fantasy Chronicles is also truly amazing.
My only disappointment would be FF11. Final Fantasy wasn't meant to be an MMO and the game had a lot of balance problems.
I've beaten 1-12 (not including 11 of course), and 13 looks to be very nice.
I've played almost every one of the mainstream FF's besides 5 & 6. I got about halfway through both of them and gave up due to boredom :( I don't understand what's so great about VI besides Kefka (who is, actually, badass xD)
My absolutel favorite is VII <3 My copy is my pride and joy ^o^ My 2nd (and sometimes tied for first favorite) would be IX. How can you not love it?
I also love XII & X-2 (not X....I can't stand Wakka or Tidus and found Kimahri and Lulu too boring for words).
IV is my favorite of the old school games, cause I find Cecil and Kain badass, and how can you not want to hug Edge or Rydia? xD

FF7 was definitely my favorite of all time. The story really brings you into it and puts you there. Although FF10 is not far behind. I loved the characters, and the kind-of more modern-ish atmosphere it put you in.
It's still (even after all this time) nice to hear someone else say VII's their favorite xD (is a sad fangirl)
I actually really tried to get into X. I even played it multiple times so I could really try...but it never really stuck unfortunately :(
Buuuuuuuuut~ Auron was awesome, and I liked Yuna & Rikku as well. Plus, I actually liked the Sphere Grid system, which surprised me. The Aeons were quite nice to look at as well. Always nice to see Shiva & Bahamut done properly :)
(so I obviously don't hate X, just not one of my favorites)

Of course VII was my favorite. I love the whole game, everything about it is perfect. Especially the music.
Talking about the Sphere Grid system. If you liked that, did you like the license system in FFXII? I dunno if you played it. I just recently beat it, I kept putting it down and picking it back up.
And yeah Auron was badass.
