To be honest, now that this game isn't exclusive to the PS3 anymore i'm not even going to rent it. I know, this sounds obnoxious and fanboyish, but really the only reason I wanted to play it is because it was a JRPG and I've never really gotten into them or played them that much by any means. I was going to try this one out because I thought "hey, if they've been loyal to PS so far, might as well give it a whirl". But now they've gone the way of ace combat, except not nearly as bad, and also after seeing the new video, I've completely lost all interest in the game.
On the plus side, Fallout 3 is definitely going to find a new home on my PC. Unless the game comes on multiple dvd's in which case I might buy it for the PS3 (they were talking about how huge the game world was, and in that definition it's going to take up a lot of space on the disc).
Not only does it sound fanboyish, it IS fanboyish, its childinsh, and alittle ignorant. I wont blame you too much becuse you arent an rpg fan, but if you were, i feel sorry for you, not wanting to play a great game(Ace combat ruled) just becuse it was multiplatform, or a company wanst being "loyal". Honestly, the only companies that have to be loyal are First party companies, and just becuse you were loyal, doesnt mean that third parties, and thier wallets have/can afford to do the same.
Really, get your head out of the PS3 usb port and just get over it man, alot of Particular sony only games will go multiplatform and crying and boycotting wont do a thing(could you really blame them? Sony was the only game in town back when). Getting back to the point, FFXIII is gonna be an awsome game.

Lol. Yeah, I know, it was just the allure of this whole japaneesy atmosphere that made me interested at all in FFXIII in the first place, but the migration to the most american/european console basically demolished that picture in my head, and so the trance has been broken. Idk, maybe if it has turn based combat i'll consider renting it. Really the only reason I wanted to get it in the first place is because it WAS a PS3 exclusive, not because I thought it looked like my kind of game.
I guess I'm still just a little pissed at namco for going 360 exclusive with Ace Combat 6, and not even releasing it later for us. I don't know, maybe I feel a need to boycot any other developers who do this to prevent it from ever happening again.

Also, let's get this clear:
I am a huge rpg fan, just not a jrpg fan.
Well how much sense does that make? you want companies to stay PS3 exclusives, but you would make your point by NOT buying the game on the mentioned system? wouldnt that like, reinforce thier decision even more?

I have been listening to several interviews with Sony reps, and Sony knew that FF13 was going to the 360. Hell, Sony is the third largest stock holder in Square-Enix. The top 2? Square and Enix, lol.
They said that it will be hard to see many third party exclusives, due to the fact that both consoles have not sold a significant amount of consoles yet this generation, and for the high development costs. Developers can't take the risk of going exclusive, and not making a profit.
Obviously there are SOME third part exclusives for the 360 and PS3, but we are seeing an ongoing trend where almost everything has been going multiplatform.
Microsoft pretty much has to fully RELY on third parties. If it wasn't for third parties, they would be in trouble. Sony has nearly 20 in-house/first party studios, as opposed to Microsoft's 4 (they have a few more but not for the 360).
Sony probably doesn't see a point in investing a ton of money to keep exclusivity of a third party game, especially if it is just going to end up being multiplatform. They just want to invest their money on developing games that are exclusive (and always will be exclusive). Obviously if I was the head of Sony, I would make an exception and try pretty hard to keep FF13 concidering how big of a game it is.
I forgot to mention this the other day, but with Sony having such a stake in Square, wouldnt it not really take much to keep the game exclusive? Or maybe they wanted to but Enix being the Owning company scrapped the idea?

I'll more than likely get a copy of FFXIII on PS3, seeing as how I think it might feel odd playing a Final Fantasy game on any other system... aside from the old school consoles (which I no longer own), of course.

I'm definitely getting a copy of Fallout 3 on my PS3... I need great games to play on that system, and from what I saw at E3, this game will most likely not disappoint me.
Thinking about getting the Collector's Edition, which comes with a bunch of funny stuff...

Create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of post-apocalyptic Washington, D.C. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland. Prepare for the future!
Vault Boy Bobblehead: Enjoy your very own Vault Boy with this collector’s item direct from Vault-Tec.
The Art of Fallout 3: This hardcover book features nearly 100 pages of never-before seen concept art and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists.
The Making of Fallout 3: Get an exclusive, inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team behind the game with this special DVD.
Vault-Tec Lunch Box: The entire package comes in a fully customized metal lunchbox.
Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360 was my crowning moment when I watched E3 on G4. But Microsoft just had to show this really crappy camera angle that no one could see made me want to shoot someone. You just don't associate anyone else with Final Fantasy except Sony. And I can't even see the trailer for it!? That is just horrible... BOO!

I'll start getting excited for the game once the calendar draws closer to 2010.
Don't be a hater... that trailer was pretty bad ass. The fighting system looks good and seems a lot faster paced which makes for more of a challenge and I like challenges.

It looks A LOT faster, she was taking damage while dealing it as well. I'll be keeping an eye on this, well happy it'll be on the 360. Y'know if it wasn't I would have ended up buying a PS3 for it, that and Drakes 2 and Killzone.
