That's my list on Facebook, there's some pretty good stuff on there, but I should update it. Lucky Number Slevin sticks out to me though, if you've never seen it, rent it immediately. One of the best scripts I've seen, ever.

Unless it's in the Book of Bob, Chapter 1, verse 14 , I'm surprised no one mentioned No Country For Old Men. It was one of the best, most suspenseful films in recent years.
If you like that, check out 3 Days of the Condor. It's an awesome old Robert Redford movie, but damn is it good.
Comedies, check out Super Troopers or Shaun of the Dead, both watched pretty regularly in my house.
Two movies for an ultimate movie night: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Enter the Dragon.

I was just about to add Super Troopers to my list. It's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
Some other good ones are:
- Miracle
- Cinderella Man
- Shooter
- Inside Man
- James Bond (any of them)
- V for Vendetta
- The Prestige
- Thirteen Days
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off
- Die Hard (any of them)
- Jack Ryan series (Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger)
- No Country for Old Men
- Day After Tomorrow
- History of the World Pt. 1

Then let me narrow down that list to my favorites:
The Godfather
Lawrence of Arabia - my favorite movie of all time
Schindler's List
Some Like it Hot
Apocalypse Now
Bridge on the River Kwai
Dr. Strangelove
Clockwork Orange
Shawshank
Saving Private Ryan
Silence of the Lambs
Forrest Gump
Platoon
Goodfellas
Pulp Fiction
Some not on the list:
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood
The Thin Red Line
Full Metal Jacket
Saints and Soldiers
Shaun of the Dead
Crash
Hotel Rwanda
Snatch
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Clerks 1 and 2
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Lord of War
Matchstick Men
The Rock
Anything with Sean Connery
Entrapment - only because Catherine Zeta Jones is smoking hot, and it has Sean Connery. win-win
There's definitely more, just can't think of them right now. But these are the ones that, if you haven't seen them, I would smack you upside the head and say "Go rent them, you dumbass".
