It's supposed to be based on true events. That caught my eye. So I looked into it and it's just loosely based on like Charles Manson and home invasions. Really lame.

I don't listen to what people or critics have to say about movies. I go, watch them, then rate it myself. There have only been a few movies that I have watched in theaters and truly, truly been disappointed with.

The Strangers doesn't look all that bad, IMO. I didn't mind vacancy that much, although it could of been a lot better. The Strangers reminds me of a Rob Zombie movie, by the previews at least. Also, it's based on a true story which is kind of creepy and also kind of catchy to a suckers eye, such as myself.

Unfortunately I probably won't be able to see this until it comes out of DVD. The movie theater near where I live never gets anything good, and I don't feel like giving my girlfriend gas money to drive an hour to see it.

What could bother me about The Strangers is what bothered me about Vacancy there's only one couple to torture and terrorize. So, the likely hood of a main character getting knocked off is nill. I've read through reviews that says The Strangers has some decent scare moments where as Vacancy was nothing but a bunch of inept inbreds that were into snuff films.

THIS MOVIE SUCKED SOOO BAD! OMG!!

When the movie finished I didn't even move from my chair...I was sort of in shock. This movie is seriously one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. If this movie was able to make it to the big screens then I'm going to go grab my camera and make a horror movie myself and try to make it big with it. **** this movie!

The only SAW movie that was good, was the first SAW. SAW II was mediocore at best, compared to the first. The first one was the best of the entire series. They couldn't have made another SAW film after the first, and I'd have been fine. After seeing SAW III, I won't watch any other SAW movie made from here on out. SAW III was a giant pile of **** compared to the first one, and even the second was better than that. They took what could have been a great series, and turned into ****.

I'm surprised this Strangers movie is this bad. I wanted to see it because of all the commercials I've seen with the people wearing the masks. Plus, it's cool how they make it seem like it's all just a random act of violence in the commercials. That's what makes something like a brutal murder just freakin' sick. I wanted to see it when that commercial showed the masked people standing in front of the victims, and the lady asks, "Why are you doing this?", and the masked lady says, "Because you were home."

I just try to picture someone actually doing that in real life, and how crazy that would be.

It's based on some murders that took place at a cabin hotel, where a few people were found stabbed to death for no apparent reason, and the perpetrators were never found. If you're going to base a movie on real events, try finding something more interesting than a simple unsolved multiple homicide.

I saw it last night, and I would say it was alright. When they first started to mess with Liv Tyler it had my interest, and then after that it just became so predictable. By the way, they can say any movie is true, theres no rule against it.

Better question is how do you killed by a killer who usually walks after you. Jason and michael myers walk so slow you could crawl and get away from them. I watched some of the strangers online wasn't impressed.

I'm glad you pointed that out.

They put "Based on a true story" They can go make a move about me going to work but I get sucked into a black hole on my way there and call it "Based on a true story" becase in fact I did go to work so it is based on a "true story" get what I'm saying? That means nothing.

The perfect storm that is much more "true story" based than any othe rmovie I have ever seen.

I want to hear this ending. I will never see the movie I want to know why it sucked. I will change the thread to spoilers.
