Dexter
Anyone watch this show? I just started watching the old seasons and it is a really good show. It is basicly about Dexter, a police detective, he is actualy a blood splatter analist. The thing to the show is that he is a serial killer, he loves to kill people but he only kills to save a life such as killing a rapest, murder, etc.
I could go into a ton of detail but I could go on for pages. Its a really good show, if your looking for a new series to watch I would recommend picking this up. It is a Showtime original series so you have to pay to watch it on TV but it might be worth it, there are a lot of good shows on showtime I have heard.

Isn't this show going to be on network TV now? I thin CBS or someone picked it up....
I've heard only good things though, so I'll probably try and check it out.

Unfortunetly this is true, the show will never be the same. Now they have to censor it for all the little kids.

But there are some questions putting Dexter on CBS raises, because the content of the show – which includes extreme violence, a healthy amount of nudity and lots of bad language – hardly seems network TV friendly. On top of that, a typical Dexter episode runs somewhere in the 55 minute area, versus the 44 minutes a network series has to stick to after commercials are factored in. That being the case, the episodes will obviously be heavily edited.

Another show down the shitter.

Just finished season one yesterday and I am very impressed. This show has me hooked, I think it is almost as good as 24 used to be. I can't wait to watch season 2 I hear its 10x better than the first. Not sure when season two comes out on DVD/Itunes though.

By far the best show right now.
I've been hooked since episode one and have anxiously and impatiently waited each and every second of each and every day until the next episode came out.
DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO WATCH THIS SHOW ON CBS.
The dvds are a MUST buy and well worth the 30 bucks. They do go on sale every once in awhile for 20 so watch out for it.
For those here who can read, the books are UNBEFUGGINLIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!
BUY ALL 3 NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey glad to see another die hard fan out there. I would agree that if you watch it on CBS you will lose its full effect. In order to enjoy this show you need to take in all the offensive language, nudity, and gore.
I was not aware that there were books out, not much of a reader amymore but I can see these being riviting books with lots of detail.

The show is based on the books and if you think the show is sick, just try putting down any one of the 3 books. And this coming from someone who NEVER reads!
Author - Jeff Lindsay
Books - Darkly Dreaming Dexter (started it all)
Dearly Devoted Dexter (this guy is really getting the hang of writing)
Dexter in the Dark (holy frickin god!!!!!!!)
The show and the books do NOT really match up so any watching or reading will have little spoilers for each other. They are two separate monsters and both should be loved!
