As I Lay Dying
On Monday (Nov. 26) I'm seeing them with All That Remains, Haste the Day and Through the Eyes of the Dead opening up for them. I saw them once before at the same place and they performed better than I could have imagined. They are playing the next night, too, but I don't think I'm going to that.

For me, the only part of that show I'd really want to see would be All That Remains. I'm not big fans of the others.

As I Lay Dying is my favorite metal band (or at least of bands that fall under a general genre of metal, I can't keep up with all of these new names for slightly different sounding forms of metal), so I'm very excited. I also like HTD and ATR a lot, too.
Bamf, have you heard AILD's new CD?

Nope. Mainly because I dislike the band due to the vocalist.

If you didn't like his voice, you should definitely give the new CD a shot. The best way to describe the change in his voice is that it has matured.

They had a concert here in columbus last week, i believe... i tried to get tickets. My friends said the show was great

Excellent news. Last time I saw them (almost two years ago, on Dec. 18, 2005), they sounded 100 times better than their CD. In that time, they have matured in their sound and I can't wait to hear them.
