I didnt think it was much. When it ended, it left me guessing about how a lot of things worked out. Didn't seem to come together. Maybe thats what they wanted?

Thats the alternate ending and I'm not sure if I like it better. I do like the happy ending better but it seems like the ending that made it into theaters suited it better because why would the crazy zombies not attack him and just leave. They zombies were still "smart" but they were crazy so seeing them not kill Robert (Will Smith) might of not fitted it but then again the "head" zombie "told" the others not to hurt him. It seems he just wanted to get his zombie girlfriend back.

I'm torn on the endings. The happy ending would of been great but not sure if would of suited the movie and would of it still made Robert a legend?

He would still be a legend because he knew that his blood was the antidote by that time, no?

I could go either way on the endings probably, but if I had to pick I'd go with the alternate.

That's what I was gonna say. Either way he still would have been a "legend".

I like the original ending better, I don't think he should have died. But if Will didn't fck up in an interview and tell the ending over in Japan they never would of changed it.

His blood was not the antidote the girls blood was (the zombie girl) but he would of been a hero for finding a cure but he was a legend because he gave his life to make sure the antidote got to other people.

I like the alternate more too, had a better feeling than just going boom.

He was in Japan doing promo events for the movie, and in one of the interviews he gave away the ending so that caused them to recreate the entire ending.

I preferred the Alternate ending which to me ..was more suspenseful. But the movie still dissapointed me on several levels. IDK maybe they were wanting to stay away from 28 Days Later comparisons but the CGI Super Vamps was the wrong way to go.
Plus, after I just recently watched one of the most interesting and shocking shows I've ever seen on National Geographic channel called Aftermath : Population Zero..he wouldn't have lasted those 3 Years.
