For those of you who didn't know the book was written in 1954 by Richard Matheson. He has written several good books like Stir of Echoes and What Dreams May come which were both made into movies. Check the book out of the library, it's a short read.

I saw this tonight. I thought it was pretty good... except I found it to be way too similar in story as 28 Days Later, which was kind of a bummer. I liked it up until the part where the dog dies and he goes all estupido and other people show up... I give it a so-so rating.

Next up on the list of movies for Swiss to see is Sweeny Todd.

I finally saw this movie and thought it was Mediocre at best. The Dark Seekers were lame and uninspired. Using real actors would have have made it more scary, but that would have probably gave it an R rating , and that's a No No. The dog death scene pushed it though. The one thing that bothers me about movies like this is, all that death and illness and anarchy and not one single body / skeleton in the streets anywhere ??? C'mon ....Effects People.

The ending was reshot at the last minute and totally different from what they were going to do...Hopefully when the DVD comes out they include the alternate ending.

Next Up....
Alien Vs. Predator
Sweeney Todd
Juno
There Will Be Blood

Stir of echos had Kevin Bacon in it right, and if that's the movie i'm thinking about they made a sequal and did not include Kevin Bacon. I rented it the other night and was VERY unsatisfied.

I saw the movie and it was great.

Really sad sometimes though, kind of like a horror movie meets sci-fi with a bit of sadness..just for the fact hes the last one alive, his family dies etc.

I jumped a bit though..especially when he was testing the compounds on the infected human.

Movie-"Testing compound 6, seems we might have something here.."

Me-"Hey he found a cure!"

Then the infected human jumps and starts screaming.

I shat my pants..

:). Great movie, though.

Unless you want the thrill of the big screen and surround sound, I would wait for this one on DVD.
