I've been waiting for this movie to come out for quite some time. I loved the first one and still watch it regularly. I hope that they don't mess it up. This , along with Grindhouse will be the few movies of the Year that I go see on Opening day. Ticket's already Sold $$$

I was a big fan of the first one and I'm definitely going to see the second installment. Like Nun, this is one of the few movies I'll go spend money for at the theatre.

My favorite scene in the first one is when the guy starts fighting back against the military dudes. He completely cracks that guy with the chain. That is so freakin' sweet. The part where he gouges the guy out with his thumbs is nice. They actually had to cut some from that scene. The original scene shows him beating the guys face for a good minute before he shoves his thumbs into his eyes.

That's what I loved about the Original is that at the end Jim has to use Rage himself to fight back. The did the last quarter of the movie so well. where all they used is just, the dark, some lightning, and the infected to make it genuinely scary without a bunch of added effects.

I just got back from seeing 28 Weeks Later. I thought it was well done. There's a couple of Plot Holes I had issues with , one major one, but the scenes of brutality outweighed the minimal bad in the movie. The opening sequence just kicks balls , just pure awesomness. Another awesome thing about the movie is that anybody can die at any given time and it's surprising. The Camera moves alot faster than 28DL, but has the same style of filming as the first. I also like the fact that they kept the same music as 28DL. I like the story to the first movie better, but the brutality of the sequel makes the first movie look tame in comparison. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can Pause certain scenes.
The opening sequence, a Helicopter scene , and a parking garge scene are just awesome.

I dare not make any spoilers.

Is there a need to know anything about the first one? I just want to see some carnage....

Just how the plague started and it's effects on England. If you haven't seen the first one you should because it's hands down one of the better horror movies I've seen. Although, I'm sure you'd be able to pick up the jist of the story pretty easy from the second one. Different characters in the second one so it's not really a continuation of the first.

If Carnage is what you seek , Carnage you will get. I would see the first one before I saw 28 Weeks Later. You wont get lost by any means , but it's good to know how the Rage Virus starts.

The first one was awesome. I would recommend you check that one out first. It adds a different twist to ordinary horror movies. A whole new genre in a way.

Plus, im sure this new one takes place after the first one.
