South Park: Season 11
So the new season starts this Wednesday, and all I can say is that Im excited. South Park is one of the few shows that I watch new episodes every week, and its probably my favorite show of all time. For the first time, Trey Parker and Matt Stone haven't released what the premiere episode is about, but they have given a couple of show plotines to come this season check it out.

And for those who would prefer to watch the episodes without the bleeps, the uncensored versions will be made available on iTunes the following Tuesday starting March 13."

Seriously, Stone said, "Please write that we've got so many good ideas, it's hard to pick what the first one should be." And apparently, he's not joking. As of Monday, the duo was still deciding which of two top-secret ideas should air first. (Yes, that means at least one other episode this season will be making "someone" pissy.) Parker credits their wealth of story lines to a particularly fruitful February writers' retreat in "geriatric" Palm Springs, where distractions were limited. "Yeah," Stone says, "we got to go places where it's not that fun to be."
- Starting this season, episodes will be available uncensored on iTunes.
Stone: "Oh, that's something that we can talk about."
EW: "That's cool, but can you tell us anything about the premiere?"
Parker: "Honestly, when you see it, you're gonna be like, 'I see why they couldn't tell me.' Unless, we end up not going with that one because it doesn't work, and we go with something else." [Laughter]
Stone: "You suck so bad."
- Norman Lear officiated Parker's Jan. 2006 wedding in Hawaii.
Parker: "Yeah, it was pretty great. Like, I couldn't imagine how else I would get married. I wasn't going to have some Catholic priest come down. And it just came out. I told Norman I was getting married, and he was like, 'Oh, well, I'm ordained. I can marry you.' He had married like four other couples or something like that. My wife didn't know who he was, so it was fine with her. She's Japanese, so it was basically a Shinto-slash-Norman Lear wedding. It was nice and simple and short and intimate."
EW: "Did you ever think you'd be doing an interview about your wedding?"
Parker: "No. No."
EW: "This is what happens, gentlemen, when you won't tell me a plot of a single episode."
[Laughter. Silence]
Stone: "You wanna tell her about 24?"
- One of the first seven episodes will be a parody of 24. "Basically, we've spent the last month watching like three or four episodes a day, studying what they do," Parker says. "We're fans of the show, and we're really impressed with the writing, but as soon as you have Cartman saying the same stuff, it's pretty damn funny."
- They're not planning on touching the Anna Nicole Smith media frenzy. For now.
Parker: "It's not to say it's not gonna end up in week 4 or 5, but so far, we just don't really have a take on it. Like things have happened in this off season that we really did get worked up about, and the Anna Nicole thing is like, we really just don't care."
EW: "So what worked you up?"
Parker: "Oh, you'll see." [Laughter] "Oh boy, you'll see."

Matt and Trey have not ceased to surpise and make me laugh through all 10 seasons of SP, and I can only hope that they will continue too through this season aswell.

Gahhhh. You beat me to it! I was going to make this thread yesterday but got sidetracked. But anywho, I reaallllyyy can't wait. I've seen every episode except for the "Mr. Slave - Paris Hilton ***** off". I'm expecting this season to have some shockers, loads of laughs, and tons of parodies...can't wait! I just wish Issac Hayes would come back.

He probably won't come back. His loss though.
I still like South Park, I just wish they would go back to when they had episodes that weren't about current events. I like the older episodes better.

I like the newer ones more.
The issac hayes thing was funny. In an interview they said:
"Issac Hayes clearly stated that if we did an episode on scientology, he would quit"
Reporter: "So what happened"
"Well, we did a episode on scientology, and sure enough, he quit"
They have no shame and make a great show

Yeah South Park really has two different type of shows. One that focuses around the boys just being boys, and the others that revolve more around current events.
I like both type of episodes, and you can find both types throughout all 10 seasons, but recently episodes have been more about current events. South Park is really the only cartoon that is truly put together in a week which allows Matt and Trey to base each show on stuff that is going on right now. Thats probably one of the bigger reasons that they do those type of shows.
I would have to say though, my favorite episodes come from seasons 4-6. Most of the episodes were just the boys fooling around with really good plotlines. I still love the current event episodes, but the ones focused on the four boys just tend to be written better. Overall, pretty much anything those guys make is hilarious to me.
And Writer, you should really check out that episode. Its probably one of my favorites off of Season 8.

Just checked the South Park site (Im bored), and it looks like they leaked a little about the episode.
Quote:
This Week on South Park: "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson"
The “N” bomb hits South Park and Cartman fights a midget.
|
I bet the "N" bomb may have nothing to do with what most call the "N" bomb, but thats just a guess. It wouldn't be the first time they have said the word if it is though. Butter says it to The Notorious BIG in the Hell on Earth episode and its also in the rap song during the Krazy Kripples episode. There was also the time Mr. Garrison said "Nig" right at the end of the episode where they got all the rich black people to leave the town, but they cut to the credits before he finished the word.
And as far as Cartman getting into a fight with a midget, no comment (but Im sure it will be funny). I hope this episode makes up for the crappy finale of season 10. I have a feeling though from the short descriptions of a couple episodes they have announced so far that its going to be good.
