I bought Essential Judas Priest, Essential Ozzy, and a Twisted album today.

I've heard most of the songs on the Priest album (mostly from my Priest DVD), but there are a few new ones as well. Judas Rising is one and I think that I'm going to marry when I'm old enough.

For the most part I buy cds from artists I like, or I'll borrow from a friend to put on the ipod. Then if I just want like a few songs or something I'll make a list of artists to download off of limewire, get the songs, and then uninstall it. I don't like to mess around with services like limewire with all the viruses and controversy so I just get what I need.

I cant believe this!

I have been trying to download various things from Morpheus over the past few days. When I double click to download, they just turn red.

I saw an error message on Morpheus earlier saying they are not authorized files, and cannot be downloaded. Seems they have taken a stance against copyright infringement and you can basically no longer use Morpheus.

I uninstalled it, and read up on Bare Share. I used to have it, but started using Morpheus instead. Bare Share recently went through a law suit and now track people who download illegal material.

Looks like P2P networks are going to hell if you don't want to pay for material.

Unfortunately, I am left turning back to LimeWire. Lucky me.

Ok, so some of you seem to take the moral high ground on this one, and good for you. I wont until the artists do so. I download EVERYTHING. Music I grab from torrents mostly and that Limewire everyone hates so much (me included) and movies I will rent (mostly because I can rent a movie, even new, for a dollar) games I will rent if they are console exclusives, then buy them if I like them enough. PC games I shamelessly pirate because you can not rent a PC game anywhere, except maybe the online rental places but I dont use my credit card (cause i dont have one lol). If the game I pirate is great I buy it, if it good I beat it then delete it, if it is bad I burn it to disc then burn the disc.
Music on CD is going dead fast, and it should. The only reason people bought those CDs back in the day was because they didnt kknow how to get the music they wanted otherwise. There are some artists I support FULLY and I do buy their CDs, to support them. Why do i support them? Simple; they have GREAT music IMO. Garbage, The Cardigans, Everclear all get my $ when i have it. It has a lot to do with them giving me what i want. I can buy a Cardigans CD and know I am going to like it. Most artists put out a CD with 1 or 2 good song and the rest is crap. The opposite is true for the bands I support. Again, thats my opinion, I know people like different stuff.
