Bob, I'm positive you'll like Killswitch Engage. They aren't screamo like Underoath, but they have a lot of singing in their songs. I also believe they are much more talented.
I like all of their songs, but I'll reccommend a few from their three albums.
Their first album was with a different singer and drummer than they currently have. While I think they are still as heavy as they were with this album, less singing is in the first album.
Alive or Just Breathing
My Last Serenade
Temple From the Within
The Element of One
The End of Heartache
A Bid Farewell
Take This Oath
When Darkness Falls
Rose of Sharyn
The End of Heartache
World Ablaze
Hope Is...
As Daylight Dies
Daylight Dies
This Is Absolution
The Arms of Sorrow
Unbroken
My Curse
The song Take This Oath from The End of Heartache is with both singers. A very good song.
Writer, this thread is about Metal and genres related to it. Green Day and AFI are far from that. Not to mention they suck *** and have no talent.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. I know what this thread is for, but you asked a question and I answered it.
Back on topic:
Let me add one more to my list:
HU, I want **** that sounds like HU(Mr. Captain Obvious, HU is metal, in a sense :) ).

WTF is HU?
I was trying to get you out of ****** bands and into better ones. You want metal, but you're not going to like anything if you listen to AFI and Green Day.

Hollywood undead. And let me "re-group" them. They are hardcore-ish/screamo-ish.

That's your OPINION. I thank you for that.

That's not necessarily true.

I just got back from the show...., OTTER , I'm sorry but, The Red Chord was terrible. There was another band that opened up called Municipal Waste , now they rocked like old school DRI ( Dirty Rotten Imebeciles ). I dont understand how you can say GWAR is weird.
They are the ones that pwn.....
I'm drunk and covered with fake blood , ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

It turns out I'll be seeing In Flames, Lacuna Coil and Soil December 12 @ the Kool Haus here in Toronto. Holy **** am I pumped for this one!

You lucky dog. I've been a fan of Lacuna Coil for a long time now... and have yet to see them live! They are awesome and I hear they are great live as well. Last week I saw Godsmack and Breaking Benjamin. Breaking Benjamin was a bit disappointing to be honest. The singer's voice is very good, but they only played 4 songs and then they left... losers!

Silverstein is decent, I'll check out the others.

I've heard some of their stuff, I liked them for the most part. I'll look into them a bit more though, thanks :)

You might like KSE's singing but all the lead singer does is growl =\.
Also check out A Thorn For Every Heart, it's some emo/screamo crap but I think you'll like.
Idk, nobody really sounds like HU, writer...they're like...rap and some ****** screaming in the background =\
