Well, the movie is out now... has anyone seen it yet? I was amazed to read all the horrible reviews on it. I was also surprised to see that Ebert gave it a good rating and was very much in the minority.

I'm probably going to see it tonight. I've never read the book (I hate reading...) but I'm curious now. Maybe these critics just set way too high of an expectation? I'm sure most, if not all, read the book... maybe in comparison it just really sucks. I don't know...

I talked to three of my friends who saw it, two said it was confusing if you hadn't read the book, and that it just wasn't as good as they thought it would be; boring.

The book wasn't really that radical so the movie is just a condensed version of this guy's imagination... just like every other film now that I think about it... but this is like uninteresting fantasy crap... not Dan Brown's best work at all

For any readers out there you absolutely must pick up the book "Deception Point" which is what that dude brown can shurn out if he doesn't aim too highly... a vey good book!

I thought it was a pretty good movie... I don't understand how it got rated so poorly by so many people. I think the critics have been compromised by the Priory of Sion... :smile:

It's just a story that makes people question assumed belief. It's just like any other story these days with the theme that questions: what if all that we knew as fact was fiction? It's a powerful philosophical question because we've been wrong so many times before... People's egos and even entire life could be invalidated with just a single new discovery. Remember when the earth was flat? Just because it's related to religion it's a big deal... it's sad that it seems churches always try to prevent free thinking and block open discussion of these things.

i saw this movie saturday....it was really good...it was deff better than i thought it would be. i deff would recommend that u guys who have not seen it yet...go and see it!
