    MW3 Perks

    Team Perks: Details unknown

    ----- Updated October 12 , 2011 -----

Blast Shield - Blast Shield increases explosive resistance to the player. Blast Shield Pro grants the player resistance to both flashbangs and stun grenades. The perk and its pro version are similar to Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask from Call of Duty: Black Ops, respectively.

Blind Eye - The perk allows the player to be undetectable by air support and sentries. Its pro version makes the player's launchers lock-on quicker, and get extra bullet damage versus air support and sentries.

Assassin - Assassin is a Tier 2 perk set to appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The perk makes the player undetectable by UAV recon, Portable Radar, Thermal Scopes, and Heartbeat Sensors. Assassin Pro version makes the player immune to Counter-UAVs and EMPs, in addition to preventing the red crosshair being displayed when an enemy aims at the player.

Steady Aim - Same as in Black Ops and COD4

Dead Silence You make no noise.

Recon - The core version makes explosive damage paint the target on the mini-map whilst the pro version makes bullet damage paint the target as well. So far, it is unknown if the perk paints the target to the entire team or just the player character.

Sleight of Hand - Decreases the reload time for all weapons by 50%. It has a new Pro effect, allowing the player to switch weapons faster, similar to Scout Pro from Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Extreme Conditioning - Same as in Black Ops and COD4...makes you run for longer periods of time..also, the pro version makes you climb over stuff quicker.

Scavenger - Unlocked at Level 39 in Multiplayer and its effect is unchanged from previous games.

Quickdraw - Quickdraw is a Tier 2 perk in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It makes the player aim down their sights faster, similarly to the Pro version of Sleight of Hand in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops. The Pro version allows the user to recover from equipment and grenade usage faster.

Hardline - Will make each Strike Chain require one less point. Hardline Pro will make every two assists count towards the player's Strike Chain in addition to making deathstreaks require one less death.

Overkill - Overkill allows players to carry two primary weapons, as in previous Call of Duty games, though the second weapon is incapable of accepting attachments. Overkill Pro allows the use of an attachment on the second primary or two if coupled with the attachments proficiency. This perk is featured in a default class giving the player a G36C and PP90M1. It is unlocked at level 47, the last of the Tier 2 perks.

Marksman - Marksman is a tier 3 perk in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Marksman perk identifies enemy targets at a longer range by showing their player names at a greater distance. The pro version allows for longer hold breath period similar to Iron Lungs.

Stalker - Stalker is a Tier 3 perk set to appear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Stalker gives the user faster movement speed while aiming down the sights. The pro version delays enemy Claymores similar to Scrambler Pro in Modern Warfare 2.

SitRep - SitRep functions in the same way as Modern Warfare 2, with enemy explosives flashing red. The pro effect magnifies the sounds of enemy footsteps, just as in Modern Warfare 2.

I believe there was a UAV Jammer, but it was almost never used because everyone wanted to get their precious nukes, thus no one used UAV, except Go Pre ;)

Stopping Power and Heartbeat sensors were in MW2, and I didn't like MW2.

I almost ALWAYS use UAV in every CoD, best killstreak there is imo.

But ehhhh, MW2 was okay. I'm probably going to say that I won't buy this, then when it comes out and everyone is playing I'm going to give in and get it. I'll play it for a few weeks, maybe a month and it'll collect dust after that.

    ****.

Agreed on UAV. I admit I went for nukes in MW2 and if I was playing against people that bad in BlOps I'd change my killstreaks to boost my stats. But most of the time (at least in BO, don't remember my MW2 killstreaks) I would almost always use UAV, Blackbird and some random 3rd killstreak, usually counter-UAV or care package.

I'll buy this. Not because I think its going to be good, but because I like having a current online fps. Also, I like how they used Kevin McKidd as Soap. Actually, like is an understatement, I loved him as Vorenus in Rome.

Anyway, its like that with every series for me. Assassins Creed (identical game play, new story), COD, Fallout. Just have to wait for used game sales to keep up.

I really like the perk Point Guard though. I hate when I get 1 kill for every 5 assists, at least this is a way to reward TEAM PLAYERS (lol, they dont exist), and stop the *****ing from OMG U STOLE MY KILL. Stun protection is also interesting, better than the Gas Mask from BLOPS.

Hmm so stopping power is a team perk so that means you can have that and the assassin perk? Way overpowered. Only thing interesting is the horde type mode but there are some dumb things in that too namely kamikaze soldiers and dogs.

Amen to that. I get far, far more assists than most players. I daresay its because I use frags, which have a large wound radius, and I do a lot of long range shooting which doesn't always result in a kill. And I use **** guns a lot too. Im pretty sure I've gotten around 20 assists in some games.

UAV is cool. I've used it around four thousand times in BO. Which is about 2000 minutes... over thirty hours of radar assisted slaughter. I'm not too fond of the big kill streaks, it simply isn't fun to liquidate folks, so I rock the UAV, Blackbird and then random **** like the SAM turret and the Sentry. Valkyries are cool too.

But yeah, need more information about how the perks work to know how they handle. With BO this perk list looked worse than it eventually turned out to be, so we'll have to see.

If there's a health regen perk then that tells me normal gameplay is none health regen, no?

I just hope there's no 'sprint sprint knife kill sprint sprint jump-spin pistol headshot pwnage sprint sprint' perk. A counter perk could be 'tentacle legs' and all noobs using 'sprint sprint....' around you fall on their face and do a Peter griffin knee holding motion while you run over and teabag them.

Yea MW3 perks need toning down.

I think one of the Ghost/Ninja perks should get rid of those blasted skulls that indicate where teammates have died. A lot of players are nigh on brain dead, to the extent that a lot of the time they wouldn't even know that their allies just got annihilated by a semtex grenade twenty feet away, yet the game gives them telepathy so they know precisely where their team mate was killed, and how. What is the point in setting yourself up for stealth, thinking your way into the enemy's hinterland, silently eliminating enemies and then coming across some scuzzball who is spoonfed unknowable information, allowing him to level his sights over a doorway which you are about to go through? Silent kills only, naturally, but I would still love this perk.

Another helpful perk would be Getting **** Done. You take domination points, plant and defuse bombs, etc faster than usual. I think this would be great- objectives should naturally be hard to achieve, but if you lose a perk slot in order to have an easier time of completing the objective, it all works out. Maybe run a little faster in CTF, something like that.

You can add Steady Aim, SitRep and Extreme Conditioning to the list. These aren't new but were on the latest gameplay vid.
