When I first read Game Informer's piece on upcoming racing game Blur I was under the impression that this was going to be the first, in my opinion, true combat racer. Sadly, it sounds like the weapons used in the game will be mounted on the cars. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted a racer that allows gamers to zoom down city streets, and have a passenger stick his torso out the window and spray competing cars with an Uzi. Sadly, the closest I've ever come to finding such a game was any Twisted Metal game (my favorite being TM: Black), and the FullAutos.
That's not to say that I don't expect Blur to be a spectacular game. If Bizarre Creations does their jobs right, this could be the most realistic combat racer to date.
