I'm not a fan of UFC, got nothing against it just never got into it I'm a big wrestling fan. Is it worth me dowloading demo or buying the game itself if I'm not a UFC fan, I wasnt sure if you guys were really fans or not. Game looks solid as a fighter though, I'm curious what you guys think of the real game as a non ufc fan. I know a few wrestling games over the years peeps bought even though they didnt like wrestling.

Well, I'm a big UFC fan, and I love the game, so perhaps my opinion isn't really what you want, but you should certainly give the demo a try. I mean, what have you got to lose? It's free!
I got the game a week after it came out and I thoroughly enjoy it. The graphics are good and the controls are pretty solid. It took me a while to get the solid transitions and slamming system down but I have that now. I am semi decent at the game. I'm 27-23 online with a couple people quitting on me. The game can be tough to get the controls down but it is fun as hell. I would recommend this game to anyone that enjoys a challenge. Also the career is very fulfilling and fun.
Even though I haven't played this game, I would recommend it as a purchase. I have seen the images and vids for it, and I believe it is a well put together game for sure.
I love anything involving wrestling and fighting. Rear naked chokes for the win hehe.
And it has online? Even better.

Why don't you try the demo if it's free anyway? ;)
I just tried playing online for the first time. I did a player match to get warmed up and won, then I tried a ranked match and this dude lagged and it was like I couldn't block, punch or do anything. Might stay away from online if there's going to be shit like that.
I rented this game for the week, and overall, I give this game a big MEH.
For the first of its kind, its good. Controls get easy after a while but there was alot that bothered me:
The player doesn't age visually or numerically.
There is only one venue.
No moving weight classes.
Forced retirement.
Nothing done between rounds.
Dont get me wrong, I do really like the game, but it just doesnt go above and beyond. Im sure future ufc games will be amazing, but this game is just MEH for me.

It's not the first of it's kind. There was a UFC game on Dreamcast and PS2, and a Pride game on PS2 aswell.
The age thing bugged me a bit too for a while, but then I realised that if they age your character, they need to age everybody else too, and as they're all real-world fighters, maybe they didn't have the ability, one way or another, to overcome that - espescially since you can start out as a fresh faced 20 year old - by the time you hit your peak all the big names you want to be able to fight against would be pushing 40. And Chuck Liddell would be dead.
