Cross-Platform Game DiscussionGeneral discussion amongst games that are available across multiple consoles. Popular games will have their own forum below.
LMAO... wow, I thought this game was much more fun than I had originally thought it'd be. The stiplulations that they want you to achieve during the "relive" moments of Wrestlemanias past are pretty fun to play through. The demo is now available on Xbox Live, but not on PlayStation Network (so far). Being able to be the classic Undertaker has me seriously considering getting this once it's released later this month...
I set the demo downloading a few days ago on PSN and It's still on 19%, I'm just about ready to give up.
U haz bad internetz in britland?
I downloaded this and was quite amused. I haven't played a wrestling game in ages. The only thing I really didn't like were the player models, they look too cartoony. And hearing The Rocks' old entrance music was a nice blast from the past.

I thought the same thing at first, but after thinking about it longer, I find it really good in a way that they are more cartoony looking seeing as how the in-game action is so over the top. And by over the top, I am saying things in the best possible way... I haven't had this much fun playing a wrasslin' game in ages!!
I'm just wondering which console I will enjoy playing it more on... still need to give the game a try on my PS3... once I get the demo downloaded from PSN, anyway. Just makes me wish the demo was there for me to download right now.

Its definately there on the EU store if not the US. I have it downloaded and ready to play. I haven't played a wrestling game since WWF Smackdown on the PS1, it was great fun but I just lost interest after that game... so I'm looking forward to playing this.
Writer, the UK has the worst internet infrastructure in Europe. Lithuania, Bosnia, Albania and Georgia beat the hell out of us, which is very worrying.
Our Internet is horrendous, I've never experienced anything like it in my life. I went on a cruise to the Bahamas and the Internet on the ship was faster than the Internet in my house here. The standard speed for an Internet connection around here is around 6mb/s, we are currently transferring over to a 20mb/s fibre optic service but that's another story.
I think the main reason I have been put off "modern" wrestling games is the new controls they use. I remember back in the day when you used X, triangle, etc to beat the hell out of your opponent. Now, you use the analog sticks to influence what move you want to use, and I just can't get a grip on it. I don't even like wrestling anymore since it's too gimmicky (bring back WWF days!) but I have never minded playing the games so long as I can actually control the guy.
Give me another week or 2, I may have got the demo downloaded.
I'm not too hot on this game. Is there another camera angle which would allow you to fight more than one enemy? Because 1 on 1 isn't half as fun as big and chaotic bouts. I also don't like the controls... mash triangle when he has the upper hand, mash square when you have it, match over. In Smackdown it was fun to build your own wrestler and pick his moves... legends of wrestlemania is just too limited if the demo is any indication.

It's more like a button sequence that you'd find in a game like God of War or Resident Evil 4, which is why I liked it. Makes it a little easier to reverse moves on your opponent, rather than being at the total mercy of their random button mashing.
I don't think there's much wrong with the game... and considering it's only a demo, I think the retail version of the game will feel more complete.
Still waiting for the demo to make an appearance in the U.S. PSN store... but for now, I can have fun playing it on my 360.
Well, after spending some time playing the demo on PS3, I think it's safe to say that I'll more than likely be getting it for that console. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but the action, movement, and playability just seemed a bit more fluid over on the PS3. The list of playable wrasslers seems pretty well rounded, and I can only hope that perhaps different wrasslers will be available via the download... being able to play as Demolition Axe and Smash, or even Hollywood Hogan would be pretty effin awesome.

The level of creation options that are included in this game are siiiiiiiick... I borrowed one guy's formula for creating (1980s tag team) Demolition. The picture that I posted has the creator's name at the bottom, and it's basically the way that they look walking into the ring, and their in-match costume. Hell, he even shot a video detailing their attributes and body morphing, only to post the video on YouTube.
Since there is no Macho Man in the game, I think I just might create him as well...

Well, that's just your opinion, but I think a majority of the others who were left off of the stock roster are worth a shit, too... the likes of Demolition, Macho Man, Rick Martel, Tito Santana, Ricky Steamboat, The Islanders, etc etc... for reasons that only Vince McMahon might know himself, they are mysteriously absent from the already robust roster of 'legendary' ex-wrasslers.
This is part of the reason why I absolutely love the create mode in the game... your options are pretty much limitless.
And if you're more of a fan of the newer generation, there's the option of importing the SvR 09 roster over to LoW's... increasing the amount of (pre-created) playable wrasslers to 90 or more. Hell, I am considering just a rental of the game to boost up the available characters to a number like that.
I'm pretty upset that there's no Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack, or Terry Funk.
This game is bullshit. BULLSHIT I SAY!
Ummmm.... create-a-legend mode, anyone?
I've even found a website that has, like, the most extensive entrance theme listing for any wrasslin' company that has ever existed... judging by some of the font on their site, my guess is that it's based out of Russia, or something.
