In the June 2009 issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, they have a ten page article on the upcoming game... they posted in-game pictures of Harley Quinn... and like Poison Ivey, she also looks damn sexay. Also, they explained a little bit more about the Joker challenges that will be exclusive to the PS3 version of the game.

I wonder if Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy will form a tag team in the game. Reminds me of the Animated Series when I was a kid. To be honest I prefer that version over Harley Quinn of this one. She's hot but she looks like she could crush you so...maybe it's scary hot? I guess its more realistic for her to be a hard-hitting criminal than a petite young lady. I do like the grittiness of the game though.
If you are a Batman fan, and havent read the article about this game in the new Game Informer, go buy it or sit at your door until it arrives (if youre a subscriber). The first page goes into the beginning of the game, and I was creeped out from reading it. It looks crazy good.
Premise: Joker... Arkham Asylum... About 20 other villains... im sold .
Supposedly, the Arkham Asylum demo is supposed to be released this Friday, August 7th...
Arkham Asylum Demo Coming This Friday
Good news Batman fans, Eidos today announced that the demo for their upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum is coming this Friday, August 7th, on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PSN, and is also available for Games For Windows (details are found on the official site on how to download the demo for GFW ... or will be).
What's in the demo you ask? Well Eidos tell us this ...
"The Batman: Arkham Asylum™ demo opens as the DARK KNIGHT and COMMISSIONER GORDON return The Joker back into confinement at ARKHAM ASYLUM. But things soon fall apart as THE JOKER gains the upper hand and springs a trap, setting Arkham Asylum’s occupants upon Batman. The demo offers gamers a taste of the fierce FreeFlow™ combat system, the cunning stealth of the Invisible Predator™ mechanic, and the feeling of becoming the WORLD’S GREATEST DETECTIVE as they navigate Arkham Asylum’s imposing Intensive Treatment facility. Players can unlock character bios, as well as get a sneak peak at some of the infamous foes that BATMAN will encounter within the cavernous and macabre confines of Arkham Asylum."
Batman: Arkham Asylum is available August 25th and August 28th in North America and Europe respectively.
Well, the demo definitely hasn't disappointed me... it's so much different than the other one I have played over and over. This is one of those games that made me gald I preordered it so long ago... it was a no-brainer for me to get it for PS3, once the Joker challenge maps information first went public. Then, not too long ago, my friend over at Gamestop told me there's some other thing being bundled in with the game... something having to do with the Scarecrow, I believe.
It is the CLOSEST I have ever seen a multiplatform Unreal Engine game. Unreal Engine isn't very good friends with the PS3, lol. Some other comparisons say that the 360 has some very minor graphics features that the PS3 does not have, but nothing to really care about. Looks the same on both consoles. So if you have both consoles, PS3 seems to be the way to go for the extra content.
The demo is pretty sick. I'm loving the graphics on this one. The combat is pretty good too. I'm learning all the things you can do. I'll be getting this game for sure.
I was lazing around in my room yesterday when my brother switches from spectating from the dead in SOCOM to TV. Just so happens that a commercial for this came on right then, and it was showing gameplay for the Joker. We were both impressed, and then, a low blow to me. Mr. TV tells us that the Joker is exclusive to PS3. YOU BASTARDS!!
