Yes, me too. Fallout 3 is most definately an RPG. Given the amount of games the RPG label is stuck onto these days where it absolutely does not belong, I'm surprised you're picking on Fallout.
I'm glad I did trade in Fallout 3 yesterday. When I went to Game Stop, I found out there were having a sale where you buy two used games and get one free. So I traded in Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2, and I bought used copies of Bioshock, LittleBigPlanet, and Dead Space. After using my edge card, and getting one of those games free, my total price was $64. That's pretty sweet for those three games. It felt like Christmas all over again.
Those are 3 good games to have. Personally , I can't wait to get back into Fallout once I get the time to dedicate myself to it. I felt overwhelmed with Fallout at first but I'm glad I stuck with it.
Go into someone's house, steal EVERYTHING
sell it.
PROFIT
Sure... this is a good tip when you don't care about losing karma... but the first time through this game, I am playing it as a "good guy"... next time, I can have all of the fun being a total jerk to everyone that I meet in the game. Just like real life... hahaha!!
And just so all of you know... I am hopelessly addicted to this game... like a crack fiend. Also, I agree with those people who consider it an RPG shooter type of game... that's the best description that I can come up with for this particular game.

All five of the Keller tapes are left near locations that you can fast travel to on the map, after discovering them for the first time of course... first one's near the VAPL-58 power station, second one's near the Hallowed Moors Cemetary, third one's near the Grisly Diner, fourth one's near Rockbreaker's Last Gas, and the last one's near the Anchorage Memorial.

If you're playing as a good guy because that's the role you want for your character, then you can safely ignore this, but if you're playing as a good guy because you like having loads of good karma, then stealing when nobody's around will lose you so little karma that it will almost not touch your level. I was very light fingered in that way and still wound up with Very Good at the end.
I was very nice to people, unless they were arseholes to me, but when their backs were turned, BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA...

Cool... thanks for the advice.
While wandering around the wastes the other day, I located the second Keller tape near the Hallowed Moors Cemetary... I guess randomly wandering around looking for side quests does have its advantages, eh?
I'm just kind of upset that I asked for this game on the PS3, so I could have more quality games to play on that console... I've been hearing from other sources that there will be plenty of DLC for the 360 and PC versions of the game. Bummer.

I think there's DLC for Fallout coming in January , February , & March. I believe I read that in the latest OXM .?.
I just got this and so far it's been very slow paced. I don't know if I'm going to be able to continue playing this.
Once you get out of the vault and acutally can do things that you want to do it speeds up a lot. Then once you actually go into downtown D.C it gets really fun.

I agree with DSHFilut. The Vault level is kinda boring and slow paced. Once I got out of the Vault was when the game became a full fledged raging addiction.
I feel like I am using a Stimpack every fifteen seconds. There is almost no way of avoiding attcks from those retarded wastelanders. I pretty much hate this game and I've only put in approx. three hours worth of game time.
