I think the host can turn respawns off. You die QUICK though, i imagine you'll be grateful for the respawn after a while.

Even with the 1 respawn you won't get through it in 5 min. The AI is crazy in this game.

There's an easy way to get your ACES and some XP:

It's cheap, I know, but it's just like jumping on the turtle shells in Super Mario Brothers to the point that you got like a billion lives.
Check out this video.

It's the second part of the first mission, and it's an easy way to get all of your ACES points, as well as ranking up.

I got all of my ACES in about 30 minutes last night.

Then it seems as though you're not buying it, or shouldn't buy it, because TH respawns can't be increased or decreased by the end user. It all depends on the difficulty that you play it on.


EDIT: Played this game on my PS3 for an extended period of time the other day... definitely the last time that I even bother putting a Ubisoft game into that system. Totally horrendous, when I compared it to the 360 experience that I've come to enjoy.

Just proof of PS3 version being a lazy slopped on port form the 360 version. 360 error messages come up on the PS3 version.
