I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of soundtrack they'll have for IV. I'm with Creep about San Andreas. I liked the size of it, it made for a longer game and was great for races. The storyline was weaker than the others but it was still great nonetheless. I'm incredibly dissapointed about them not having any planes or parachutes but hopefully that'll be in one of the expansion packs further down the road.

The game will load once, then everything will be already redered prior to you seeing it. Loading times are said to be non-existant after that initial load. Who knows how long that load will take though?!
Entering and exiting building is said to be flawless, and so are the cutscenes.
This will be better for me because A) Music on the loading screen pisses me off, and B) I always think my game has froze with the loading times for SA at least.
The lack of planes is a little crap, but I am pretty sure it's not because of it only being one island. Everyone think where this is set, I dont think even R* would stretch to you being able to fly planes into various building of a game based on New York. Thats just my reasoning.
I loved the parachute, but using it was a little hit and miss. I would jump of the same place twice and I can guarentee I would die one of the times doing the same thing both times.
The game sounds a little like VC at the start. Your Cousin is in debt, mobs are probably after him, hes in trouble. Ken Rosenberg kinda guy, anyone?
I hated every aspect of flying in any way in every gta game so far, so i most definitely will NOT be missing the airborn portion of the game.
the zero mission from san andreas was especially frustrating. i've never cussed a videogame that much in one day before in my entire life!
The flying was frustrating... that is, until I played the missions where you had the ability to fly that fighter jet. That plane was hawt!
I got lucky with that Zero mission in SA... I completed it on my fourth or fifth attempt. Frustrating, yes... but not frustrating enough to quit playing the game entirely.

I've always enjoyed the soundtracks, especially the vintage 80's Tracks of Vice City. I'm curious to see just what kind of Soundtracks it's going to have, with music being Stale in general right now.

I'm still a bit pissed that they didn't include Nirvana in the soundtrack for San Andreas... but that was at a time before they made their old songs "available" to use in other media.
So, they've already had 2 games with the 3-D version of Liberty City. Why would they do it again? This is kind of bringing me down. The only thing that would be kind of fun to me, would be the co-op if there is any. Hopefully it's more than just 2 people though.

I'm surprised none of you liked the flying. There sure as hell better be some helicopters, though. I loved doing vigilante missions with the Hunter (Apache).

I never said that I didn't like the flying... I only said it was frustrating doing those silly Zero missions in SA. I thought the flying got much better once you had the chance to toy around with that fighter jet.
(It sure made parachuting out of them really fun!)

Yes, I used to play SA just to drive around a plane sometimes and jump out of them with a parachute, I died most of the time because I usually pulled parachute too late but it was fun nonetheless.
A fun thing to do is get in the old WW2 fighter plane and put in the 6 Star cheat. Then, try and shoot down the Hydras. It's hard when you're behind one, yet have the other behind you, firing away.

I doubt this will happen, but it would be amazing if you could go into any building or home in the city. That sure as hell would make things a bit interesting. I guess a dream GTA game would be a city where everything is destructible. You shoot a wall, and bullets pass through it. You slam a car into a brick wall, and the wall is smashed depending on how fast and how hard you hit it. I guess I want a realistic GTA game this time around. That probably will never happen. I suppose if GTA were realistic, it wouldn't be GTA.
