They didn't really make fun of them. Worldofwarcraft.com put up a message about it a week before it was scheduled to air, and then the night after they put another message up in response to the episode as well as the next 4 showings. The worked in unison. Some of the events of the game that took place within the episode are impossible to happen without the help of the devs and admins working with southpark all the way.
Blizzard condoned it, loved it, and probably gave them pics of their head developers to base characters off of. It was an all around great episode.
