Battlefield 2142 (PC)
I was just at my local Best Buy and noticed that they had a pre-order box for this game. I've never played a battlefield game, but I believe this the next installment in the series. You can obviously tell by the date of the game that it is set in the future.
From what I saw and read about it, it looks like a pretty good game, and it's set to release on October 18, which is only a week or two away. Anyone have any thoughts on the game?

Yea, it seems like they concentrated heavily on the vehicles/walker things for this game. I did see that you can combine classes now, such as playing as a assault-medic or something along the lines of that.

im not pre-ordering it anywhere, prolly just gonna order it off amazon or something if it isnt at the wal-mart, meijers, etc in town.

I happened to be a beta tester for BF2142, it is FAR, VERY FAR from halo.
Its still modern, but with a futuristic spice added to it, the weapons still use normal rounds..no lazers for example, its no where near Halo type futuristic.
If you like BF2, or military games for that matter..get 2142..I got mine reserved,

Anyway, I don't like futuristic games, even if they are modern. I agree w/ TEKNIC on this one...

Cool idea, yet not really my interpretation of what "2142" battlefield combat should be..
Cool concept + halfass production = milk milk milk of the series
