I'm okay for me being a noob to the series. I usually choose the Assault pack, and just unlocked the EMP grenade and shield thingy. What I find fun to do is defending a control point from people while I'm crouching. I haven't been able to play Titan yet though, so that sucks. For anyone who is curious, my screen name on there is Nameless19840.

BAH.......I caved in and got bf2142. My name will be zero2008, I did that veteran thing a long time ago so I should get some stuff right off the bat.

I got BF2142, installed it, and ran it. The first thing i got was a message to download the EA dwnloader and the 1.1 patch, so i did. But when i went to find a sever to play on, THERE WAS NONE!!! I changed the setting to show all mods and versions, i found them all. NO ONE HAD 1.1.....WHY? so i had to uninstall it and put it back on. Will some one please tell me why no one has the 1.1 patch...

Click that. It should bring you to the EA Downloader. Once you download it, then download the patch, and then you can start playing. If it doesn't work, make an account on EA.com and try to find it then(this is a very long process).

ya i know i did this. But when i went on BF2142 it said that no one else had this patch, there where no servers i could play on. so i'm playing it now with no patch

The warning said, DONT HAVE BF2142 RUNNING WHILE INSTALLING THE PATCH
If you had it running, it messed it all up, and you have to uninstall and reinstall it.

Uninstall Battlefield 2142, then re-install it. Then make sure the game is not running, and download the 1.1 patch.

Yes, and if you get online and none of the servers come up, go to add/remove programs in your control panal, and find battlefield. When the menu comes up, modify it. Don't remove it. Let it do its thing and it should work. I had this problem when I first got the game.
