There was a show I saw on CNBC yesterday called " The History of Video Games ". It was a two hour show and they had the Creator of the Sims talking about Spore and showed the game in its developement stages.

If anyone sees this show on CNBC or anywhere else you should check it out. Very interesting from Past to Future, and covers a wide variety of Topics.

I caught that a while ago. It surprised me for some reason that it was on CNBC as well. But, like you said, it was a really good program. I cant wait for Spore either, I want it to come out now. It looks like its gonna be tons of fun, almost like Viva Pinata on crank...

Well it looks like Spore is never coming out, is anyone else really excited about this game like me? EA better not release this game two years from now, that would be sacriligious (sp?), I'm sure they'll turn out 15 more Maddens and NCAA and etc... Sports and more sports, what they need to be saying is Spore and more Spore.

I am in the same boat... I'm excited about it, but I just wish my PC was better than it is, so I'd know for sure that it could handle playing the game efficiently.

I've been looking forward to this game ever since I saw coverage on it at the last E3 convention...

Latest news on spore.com is still from August 25, 2006. That anniversary is 97 days away.

Haha, it's kinda funny reading over the beginning of this and seeing people talking about it being released towards the end of this year..

Well, it's almost the end and it turns out it'll be coming out around the beginning or middle of next year last time I checked.

Anyways, as for my perspective on the game? There is no better idea for the ULTIMATE God game in existence, and I think this shows how the Sims and their related titles can lead the market on Simulation games.

But seeing Robin Williams play it is just hilarious xD When is it not funny to watch him though?

My short description of this game:

Black & White online.

I'm looking forward to it, it seems like a good game with a unique approach, all these MMORPGs are getting repetitive, we need something new and worthwhile and it looks like Spore might just be it.

This game is coming close to a release. I downloaded the demo of the Creature Creator off of Apple Downloads but haven't played it yet.

Amazon has a $5 demo (that is more expansive than the free one I got)... I'm sure you can download a free Windows version too, but I don't know where.

They just released a creature creator that you can buy for $10. Pretty much what it is, is it lets you build creatures like you can in the game but you can't play with them like in the game. You can also download a demo of the creature creator which is the same thing as the creature creator just has less customization parts for your creature. I am looking forward to September 6th when this game comes out.
