He's talking about the Korean War Irish, I'm sure you heard about that but didn't know it had to do with the COld War. All the Cold War really was was just a war on Communism, and the US and whoever trying to keep it from spreading.
That, and both countries ( U.S and Soviet Union) trying to out do each other in everything and anything possible.
I wouldnt mind a vietnam game since most of the weapons in Modern Warfare were actually used in vietnam so it really wouldnt feel too different plus airstrikes could be napalm strikes.

I probably won't buy this game. Warfare 2 for sure, but I'm sick of old war games.

I'd say its about half and half. Cobra gunship, claymores, C4, AK47, Colt 45, Dragunov, G3, M14, M21, M40, M60, MP-44, MP5, Remington 700, RPD, Skorpion, Uzi, Winchester 1200. Not all used in Vietnam itself but they were in service from the mid sixties.
Both WaW and 4 gave me a lot of play time so I'll be buying the next two entries in the series.

Well the original models yeah. I didn't see the M14 with mod EBR on it haha.

Aside from the gameplay, the fact there is a new Call of Duty game every year is why I have no interest in the series.
That's why you pick one good game every couple of years and stick with it till the next good one comes out.
I love CoD4 but not so much with WaW so I continued playing CoD4 until my XBox red ringed but it will be fixed by time Modern Warfare 2 comes out and I'm sure I'll be stuck playing that game for a long time.

Wow, honestly? There hasn't even been a five yet, so technically 5 is in the making, but modern warfare 2 hasn't even come out yet.
I'd like to note that World at War doesn't have "5" in the title and isn't the fifth Call of Duty game. The same is true for Modern Warfare 2 not being 6 which doesn't even have "Call of Duty" in the title.

It will be the seventh game in the series to be released on a console and while Activision can create whatever the hell kind of redneck family tree they want, for simplicity's sake it will remain Call of Duty 7 until the official name is released. IW can say what they like, the only reason CoD isn't in MW2's title is that it would be too long.
I'm sick of old war games... COD MWF was definitely my favorite, and theres no way in hell i'm spending money on another cod game that takes place ages ago, i end up buying them everytime they come out being the retard that i am and they just sit there until i end up selling them to gamestop for 10 bucks.
I love CoD. I do notice the different between MW and WaW but I still love the multiplayer aspects of this series and will buy every game when released.
I also agree with you all on not playing the older wars... whats next, Call of Duty: Middle Ages.
